Christine couldn't help but smile slightly. She wasn't a trouble maker, but she couldn't help but break the rules rather often. This was the first time she had ever broken curfew though. Turning back around and heading towards her door again, she stopped. "One more thing, Thank you, Sir." She said looking over her shoulder towards him. She walked up to and opened the door and toke a step inside. Looking back one last time at a man who could of saved her life. Closing the door, she was ready to face the volcano about to erupt from her parents, who were both sitting in their chairs, staring at her.

[{ Forgive if I time skip, I just don't know what to say anymore right now.}]

It was two weeks since the night that Leon had let the girl go, and he hadn't seen her since. Today was a different day, though. In a few months, the jews would begin being transported. Of course, he knew nothing about this except from the gossip in the barracks, but it would explain why they were being kept under such watchful eyes lately. Home inspections were a famous duty now, so apart from watching the streets at night, he also had a list of homes he had to inspect during the time.
Leon was standing on Christine's porch. It was sometime after midnight, and he knocked loudly on the front door. A light turned on inside and when he saw that someone was looking through the peep hole, he knocked one more time, more of a bang this time.

Christine hadn't thought about the soldier much since that night. Just kind of a memory she shoved in the back of her head. Everyday was a new day, so why remember yesterday.
Her mom and dad had gotten permission to leave for a few days to go visit her mom's cousin. Being the only child, she was left to watch over the house. Christine was in the attic where she slept, when she heard knocking on the door. She awoke abruptly and staggered into the living room, turning on one of the lamps. What do they want now... The soldiers had been going to other houses in the neighborhood, but yet to hers. Looking through the peep-hole, she saw his familiar face. Christine opened the door and looked up at him. "Hello." She said standing in the doorway.

Leon nodded. "Christine." He didn't care asking, simply walked inside and started looking around. "Anyone else home?" He asked, then turned to face the girl. "It's been a long night, can I ask for some coffee?" He added, noticing the pot in the kitchen.

Christine watched him as he walked in and shook her head. "My parents got permission to leave 3 days ago, they will be back in 4. And we don't have anymore coffee, Someone has taxed it extremely high in Jew areas. But would you like some tea?" She offered instead. They didnt have much of anything anymore. A once wealthy family turned to lower-class, how soon would it be before poverty. Christine looked up at the man and smirked. "May I know your name today? Or do I have to wait again?"

"Watch yourself, little girl. Just because I didn't shoot you dead then, dosen't mean anything is stopping me from doing it now. And no thanks, I don't like tea. Also, if you have a problem with taxes, go to your government and complain. We'll see what happens to you then. I'm Leon, though I don't see what use my name is to you anyways." He said, slightly angered. "If your parents are out of town, then you must have a extra bed to put to use. Those barracks I'm staying in are getting awfully crowded. He added.

Christine raised her eyebrow at him. "You tell me you wouldn't think twice before shooting me then tell me you want to stay in my house?" She took a step away from him and pointed at the door. "Either conclude what you came here to do and leave, or actually show me alittle respect and you can stay here." She knew he could shoot her at any moment and that would be the end to the situation, but she would not stand to be disrespected in her own house by a man she barely knew.

Leon sat down at the table in the kitchen and propped his chin up on his hand. He raised his eyebrows back up at her. "Show you respect and I can stay here? I can walk into a given house and stay there all I want. And how would you like me to treat you with respect? By keeping my mouth shut while you complain about crap I can't fix and demand information from me? Also, I don't need you to jump around and cook for me just because I'll be spending the night in your home. Quite frankly, it's all the same to me where I stay and weather I care for the owner of the property or not. Your home just looks rather comfy." He said, then flipped through the newspaper that was laying beside him.

Christine glared at him. "Hope your comfy you Nazi b*****d.." She hissed then walked away into her parent's room. She sat on the bed and pressed her fingers into her temple. Why can't this be over... She reached over and grabbed a pillow, hugging it against her body. She looked over at a few pictures on the wall. One of them was of a teenage boy, another of a young girl, one of Christine, and the other of a man, about 25 years of age. Her eyes grew tears as she looked at all of them. Of four children, Im the last one alive...

Leon, tip-toeing, followed her and managed to sit on the bed behind her. She didn't even notice, so he put his arms around her, more of a reflex than a thought out action.
"That your family?" He asked.

Christine jumped and almost screamed when she felt his arms around her. She quickly wiped her eyes and looked him in the eyes. "Use to be my family. My two brothers and sister were shot dead by a soldier about six months ago." She didn't break eye contact once with him while she said this. Christine stood up, with her back towards him. "Where would you like to sleep? There's this room, another in the back, or mine in the attic." She asked, trying to change the subject.

"Well that sucks, I guess. And anywhere is fine for me.'' He said, then stood to get another look at the pictures. "They look nothing like you, ya know. Got any other siblings? I had a sister, well still have, I guess, but she's almost thirty-six now. She moved to England when she met her husband, so we hardly hear from her."

Christine sighed "No, I am the only child left." then listened to him speak about his family. "How old are you?" She asked suddenly, wondering if he was close in age to his sister.

[{Lol, no worries. At least it's not as bad as me forgetting my character's age. o.e Wasn't it 23?}]

"I'm twenty-three, how about you?"
He asked, then sat down on the bed. He looked around the room and wondered who it belonged to. She had said she lives with her parents, but then a moment ago, she mentioned that there are three bedrooms in the house. "Anybody else live here?" He said, while scratching an itch on the back of his neck.

"I'm nine-teen." Christine stated then stretched her arms forward and yawned. It had to be at least one in the morning by then, and she hadn't been getting much sleep lately. When he asked if anyone else lived there, she rolled her eyes. "No." She said without much thought. "The extra bedroom belonged to my brothers, if that's what you were wondering."
