 Zane looked at the clock then back to the journal. Ill see you there... Zane closed the book and jumped up, running down the stairs. He yelled a quick goodbye to his dad and out the door he went. He knew exactly where the park was. He could walk to it with his eyes closed if there werent other people or cars.

 Mari felt her heart pound. She reread it just to clarify. She felt her heart race quickly. 'He's coming' She thought. She stood there, dithered about the thought under the sun's warmth, trying to control her feelings of excitement, anxiety, fear, and joy.

Zane wandered among the streets, making his way slowly towards the park. He started to wonder if Mari was going to recognize him... I mean they haven't seen any pictures of each other and they only had a rough description. He wished he had remembered to grab the journal, just in case they got confused.
As soon as he got there he went straight to the center, which had a small little pond for ducks and geese. He sat on a bench and waited.

Mari walked around, looking for him. The park came to an end by the pond Mari usually avoided. She stood by a tree a little farther away from the pond.

Zane thought for a moment and decided that he would try and call for Mari. She could be here and he wouldn't even know it. "Mari?!" He looked around, checking to see if anyone was responding.

Mari heard her voice being called aloud. She braced herself and walked closer to the voice which was also near the water. Unlike most girls, she didn't have an affinity for water. She walked until she saw the back of a boy's head. Before she could decide if she wanted to come into his view or attention, she stepped on a twig that made a loud noise.

Zane turned around when he heard a twig snap. He stared at the girl standing there for a moment. Thinking of the image he had made of Mari in his head. "Mari...?" His voice was quiet, barely above a whisper. Not waiting for her to reply he pulled her against his chest and embraced her.

"Zane..." She said quietly under her breath. She followed into the hug. She heard her heart pound like crazy. "It's actually you?"

Zane nodded, taking a step back to get a good look at Mari. She was just as beautiful as he had thought she would be...And then some!! His heart was pounding in his chest, he had just found the girl he had been dying to meet. The sun beat down on his head and it warmed him up inside. He was so excited from meeting her he was afraid he was going to have a heart attack.

Mari felt her cheeks grow warmer. She looked at at him in amazement. He seemed so real to her. She looked at him. "A-are you okay?" She asked, not really knowing what to say. She has wrote to him for so long, yet she had no idea what to talk about.

Zane nodded, his eyes locked with Maris. "A bit awkward isnt it?" He laughed lightly, pulling her back into his arms.

"Did I tell you that your more beautiful than any girl I have ever seen?" Zane took her hand in his and lead her away from the pond. Leading her towards the flowers he feels his heart skip a beat. He had never been this happy in his entire life. There was something special about Mari, she was nicer than any girl he had ever met and she was one billion times prettier.

Mari felt her cheeks go red. She was left speechless. She seemed happy as ever that Zane was there and real. She seemed to just follow his walking pace, unknowing of what to say.

Zane smiled just there holding Mari's hand. "Why did we wait so long to meet each other?" He knew that now that they had met each other they were most likely going to hang out more often.
