Summertime was at its brightest and most beautiful in all of Hyrule. Bushels of healthy leaves on strong trees swayed lightly, moving side to side in sync with each other. There wasn't a cloud to obscure the rich blue hue of the endless sky. Birds chirped merrily, spreading their cheerful songs across the land.
The flourishing village of Ordon seemed to feel this change, residents emerged from their homes more and more often. It seemed as if everyone was outside enjoying the wonderful weather on this day. Couples walked hand in hand, friends joked and laughed, children played games together in the warm sunshine. The place was alive with activity, happiness radiating from one person to another.

Teagan chased after her screaming niece around her cottage, the two laughing hysterically. When she peeked over the side of the house the small one would shriek and run around to the other side, only to have the process repeat again. "Gotcha!" She exclaimed, picking up the little girl and twirling her around. "I'm getting kind of tired, Penelope, can we rest a mo'?"
Penelope bobbed her head up and down in agreement. "When's daddy gonna come back?"
She looked down the hill and smiled at her brother clambering up it. "Right about now." Teagan set her down and pointed her in the direction of her father. Immediately Penelope bounded towards him, Teagan following.
Penny ran right into her father's arms, and he swept her up in a hug, then carried her the rest of the way up the hill. "Did you have a good time with Aunt Tee?"
"Mhm! We played tag!"
"I'm sure you two had great fun."
He laughed, then looked at his sister. "I hope she wasn't too eccentric."

"Not at all, I love babysitting Penny! Anyway Robert, what's the news?! I've been going nuts with anxiousness."
"It's a girl!" He cried, unable to get the smile off his face. "She's absolutely beautiful, just like my Penelope here." Robert poked her stomach, causing Penny to giggle uncontrollably.
"That's wonderful! What's her name?" She asked.
"Remember when you suggested Layla?" His smile grew even bigger.
She hugged her brother. "That's great, Robert."
"She looks so much like you, y'know. Messy brown hair, and she's already got her green eyes, just like you did."
"Aw, that's so sweet. I'm sure Penny will be carting her around in a wheelbarrow in no time." Teagan laughed, referencing their childhood days when Robert, along with her four other brothers, would do the same.
"We still have that thing. It's in the shed."
"No way, really? How'd that thing hold up, it's as old as you!" She put her hands on her hips.
"Hey, c'mon, I'm only 28."
"Said the adult to the teenager."
"You're going to be an adult in December."
"And so I shall enjoy my days as a child carefree and I will not dwell on that fact. As of now I am no adult." She winked. "Listen, I'd love to stay and talk more but Mr. Loretti's going to be pissed if I don't get that stupid shipment of Biri Tentacles over to Coro by the end of the day."
"I still don't get why you work for that guy. And who would even buy-"
"I wouldn't question it, I'd just go with it. Anyway, I'll see you two later tonight, I must meet Layla!"
"Alright, we eagerly await your visit! Say bye, Penny!"
"Bye Penny!"
She stuck her arm in the air and waved.

"Bye Penny! You too old man!" Teagan waved back, watching them go back down the hill and cross the bridge to their home. She walked inside her cottage and eyed the crate on her kitchen table. Sighing, she headed over to it and picked it up, frowning. Savine, her horse, had an injured leg. Her brother Jacob was tending to it, which meant she'd have to haul the crate to Faron Woods on foot.
"Well, no use standing here complaining to myself, I might as well get going." Teagan said to herself, balancing the crate on her knee as she pushed open the door and shut it behind her, going down the hill and across the bridge like Robert and Penelope, down a winding path, saying hello to various villagers she passed by.
Teagan passed by Link's house. She'd hoped to say hi, but it looked like he wasn't out front yet. The two were friends, and she hadn't had the time to hang out with him lately. Sighing again, she began her journey into the densely-wooded forest to the crazy lantern-maker waiting for his jellyfish limbs.

Destral groaned and fell to his knees, but got up right away to keep moving. He was dragging one of his scimitars, originally meant to be used like a walking stick, but it started to get too heavy.
He rested against a tree, sheathing his sword and trying to get his bearings. He thought he was in Faron woods, but then again he had been wandering for hours. He hadn't eaten in days, and it was starting to get to him. His vision alternated from blurry to clear, and at first he wasn't sure if it was his eyes or the world itself. The lack of food was seriously getting to him.
He thought he heard someone coming, but he didn't seem to care. He finally collapsed, the world fading away.

Teagan carried the putrid crate of appendages with some struggle, happy to see Coro's place nearby. She turned the corner to see him by the fire, sitting on the same log. Does he EVER move from that spot? We've all got lanterns by now, and if we need fuel for it we just steal some from that stupid bird a little further into the woods. Or is that just me...
"Coro!" She called to him. He turned with a start in hopes it was a customer, but when he saw Teagan his spirits lifted even higher.

"Yes! I've been waiting for these!" He jumped up, practically sprinting to her. Coro took the crate from her hands and Teagan sighed with relief.
"Ohhh thank the Goddesses. You have no idea how much that smell was getting to me. Uh, have fun with your Biri." She said half-heartedly.
"Thanks, man. Here." He fished a blue rupee from his pocket and tossed it to her. "Need an oil refi-"
"No, Coro. Thanks." Teagan caught the rupee and held it up, smiling a bit, before making her way back to the village eagerly. She couldn't help but have a skip in her step, she was off for the day, which meant it was time to swim. Her and a few friends were planning on it, and later that night she'd meet her new niece. Today couldn't get any better, until...
"Oh my gosh!" She rushed to Destral's side, kneeling down. He'd passed out not too far from the spring. "Hello?" Teagan shook him tentatively. "Can you hear me?"

A pair of booted feet hit the dust, a rhythmic pounding barely perceptible to the Hylian ear. Ferns rustled as the figure swiftly dodged protruding roots, the muddy, brown, travel worn boots hop-skipping over them. A voice carried well, crystal clear like the waters of the spring she was heading towards.

"Life's a bowl of roses,
But thorns are a-plenty!
Stick 'em in some water,
Exchange 'em for a rupee!
Oh, for this life of a loner calls,
Wand'ring far across the plains.
Oh! These feet of mine off they fall,
If not, life would be plain!"

Jesse Arrowheart was a wanderer. One could tell from her tattered lilac tunic and worn boots, but her young features would state that she had just left home searching for flowers and honey.

Sliding down the rocky hillside that bordered the pathway to the spring, she grinned, her brown eyes sparking with the fun-loving personality behind that smile. She laughed for no reason whatsoever.

"Today's just the day!" She paused, scratching her head full of long chocolate-brown hair. "Well, any day's the day." She shrugged with a carefree smile. "Oh well!"

Destral thought he heard a voice, and opened his eyes. Were his eyes playing tricks on him, or was one of his sisters standing over him? He thought he saw her halo... It glowed like the sun... Because it WAS the sun. A girl was over him, speaking to him, but he could only gasp out one thing.
"... Need... Food.... Water... Please, angel..."
He kept seeing her as an angel he saw back in his home, but it kept fading back to reality.

"Angel?" Teagan was worried even more, now. He was hallucinating. This wasn't good. "C'mon, I'll take you to the spring. It's not that far from here." Carefully she helped him sit up, then got him on his feet. She then put his arm around her shoulder for support, and began walking forward with him, struggling with his weight on her thin frame. Some of the shipments she's dealt with were worse than this, though, so she was able to manage.
"Only a few paces more and we'll be there soon, I promise." She bit her lip and turned to the left with him, grassy plains turning into soft sand underneath their feet. Gently she propped him against a thin apple tree, pulling one down and handing it to him. "Eat this. I'll get you water." Luckily she had an empty bottle in her satchel. It wasn't big, but it should suffice. Teagan dipped the bottle in the water, letting it fill up all the way to the top before taking it back to Destral. "I hope this'll help out." She said, sitting down beside him and leaning against a rock.
"Oh crap." Teagan muttered to herself, holding out her hand and seeing the gauze falling off. Quickly she grabbed the loose end and began re-wrapping it around her 'injured' hand.

Destral slowly grabbed the apple, pulled a part of his shirt covering his mouth, loosening a few of the straps around his face, and took a small bite. He took a few more, but he didn't even seem to register he was eating until a few seconds later. His vision wasn't as blurry anymore.
"Excuse me, angel, whats wrong with your hand? Where am I? Ughh..nevermind, I have to get moving!"
He tried to get up, to start moving again, but he grabbed his side in pain and sat down again. He had bruised it earlier while practicing a new move.

"Nothing!" Teagan snapped, pulling her hand back and remaining silent a moment, then felt bad. The man was injured, hallucinating, and had no idea where he was. Her tone got softer. "Sorry. My horse Savine and I were in the woods. We'd attempted jumping over a log but she cut her leg, and I fell off and created a lovely gash in my hand." Well, part of that was true, anyway. Savine was indeed hurt, but she'd remained on the horse. "You need to sit down and stay down. Clearly you aren't well. Please, just chill for a little while, okay?"
PostPosted: Sun Oct 10, 2010 8:05 pm

"Chill? If you say so..."
Using his power of ice, his temperature dropped several degrees. He shivered a bit, then created a bit of ice for the bruise on his side.
"Umm... You aren't an angel from my neighborhood, are you? You live closer to the Demigods?"

Jesse felt the roof of her mouth with her tongue, noting how parched she was. Then, seeing the bend up ahead, delighted, she raced forth to find to people already there.

"Why hello there!" She ran forward. "What do we have here?" She grinned. "I'm Jesse Arrowheart. Wanderer, explorer, archer, and... Well... Adventurer!" She stuck out her right hand before she had remembered that she had wrapped it in a tattered strip of white linen to hide the Triforce insignia on her hand.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 10, 2010 8:19 pm

"Did you just..." Teagan blinked a few times. She wasn't shocked at the fact he was able to conjure said ice in his hand, she'd just found it funny he'd taken the phrase 'chill' literally. She couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Well, whatever helps your wound heal. And an angel? Sir, I really do think you're confused. The heat and your hunger must've gotten to you. You're currently in Faron Woods, near Ordon Village. And I'm definitely no angel."
The man seemed strange to her, his black outfit and face guard contrasting greatly with the white in her dress.
Then, she heard Jesse's voice. Good, another person to help out with Destral, hopefully. Teagan stood up cheerfully and headed over to the new girl, taking her hand gratefully and shaking it. "Looks like we match." She laughed a little, glancing at her bandaged hand as well. "I'm Teagan Jhonhu. Artist, archer, swordsman, er, swordswoman and uh, fish market extraordinaire?"

Jesse laughed. "Fish market, eh? I sing. That's my hobby, other than wandering around. Errr... I got in a fight someplace, and the wound hasn't quite healed yet. Besides, I kinda like it." She said with laughter in her voice and gesturing towards her bandaged hand. She cupped her hands and took a drink of the refreshing waters and swallowed. "So, who's this? And did he just call you an angel...?" A quizzical expression pulled one eyebrow up above the other.

Destral slowly stood again.
"Destral, fighter, swordsmen, ummm....soon to be hero, future demig-...err....I see you guys both got cuts on your hands...I'm good though!"
He raised his hand that the two of the people in front of him had injured, showing it to be clean, but it had more clothing and a few extra straps over it.
"Now, let me through or I'll-"
He grabbed his side again in pain, groaning to himslf angrily, but tried to keep moving.

"Whoa whoa whoa there mister Destral. You are in no shape to be doing that to yourself. Gee whiz you're a determined fella." She placed a hand on his shoulder to try to force him to stay still. She blinked at him as he tried to shove on past.

"Now. What have we got to do to get you to settle down...?" She turned to Teagan with a half smile.
