The other taught her how to snare animals. But Peeta saved Katniss family from death she knew how to hunt before she met him. I love Peeta he's way better than Gale. Though i would Finnick choose over both of them he's been through so much and he's very deep.

I was always inclined towards Peeta, but that doesn't mean I don't like Gale! He's a great guy and I love him. It's just that I feel that Peeta is the one who should end up with Katniss.

I personally like Gale as a character better. I have a soft spot for the brooding, badass types.
But I agree that Peeta is better for Katniss. She "needed someone she can't survive without." Gale understood this reasoning himself and Peeta gives Katniss the hope and optimism she needs.

She loved him first AND loving Peeta was pretty much a strategy in the games.
