x-Dark-Pisces-x Isn't it ironic that I'm in the military... and on our nation's most patriotic day I have to work. AWESOME! 8D But... I'm off now. At dark-thirty. : It wasn't a very good day at all. They wouldn't even let me go up to the flight deck to watch fireworks. -____-;; One year I watched the Canada Day fireworks explode directly outside the window of the 29th floor of the building I worked in, while trying to talk an American customer through an operating system reinstall. I was one of two people on the phones. Everyone else had auxed out, against the orders of the managers, to watch the fireworks. That's the trouble with a "civilian" job; there aren't appropriate consequences for that kind of thing.

ah patrotism, the cause of so much grief around the world.
anyways, 4th of july means nothing to me xP, being not american and all.
not that norways national day is to important either, most people use it as a drinking excuse and I don't even know englands national day

On a side note, a British personality was once asked if he celebrated America's Independence Day. His response: "Celebrate what? 'We didn't want that bloody continent anyways'?" xd

I went up to a friend's house for the weekend with my 2 roommates. He lives by DC and we went boating for the day on the Potomac River to DC. Swam and drank for a while, watched the fireworks from the River that went off near the Washington monument. Great weekend indeed.

I went with my boyfriend to visit his family up in PA. Kind of an awkward day for me, I'd never met any of them before and I have serious social anxiety, but they were all pretty cool people. They set off fireworks, naturally, so that was kind of neat I guess.
