Read lots of stuff, watch lots of stuff, keep your brain open to inspiration and ideas from all outlets. I get great writing ideas when I am walking home from work.
Let the weather inspire your scene. Think outside the box and let all your experiences relate back to the scene.
Taking inspiration from someone else's story - novel, film, manga etc - is perfectly okay.
