I have internet again! Yaaaay!
I've put in a request for a subforum, which will allow for rules discussion/clarification, posting of character sheets, and other such things. If and when I get one, I'll start posting characters. I'm making at least 7 to choose from, and people tend to like the characters I make.

Role call!
Now that I've got a subforum, I'd like to hear from everyone who's planning on playing, to make sure you're still around and to see what characters you might want to play. Here's a kind of crummy list of short descriptions of the characters that will be available. One is missing still, likely a troll magical adept, because it's not shaping up to be an interesting enough character, but it should be ready eventually.
Characters:
Leadership, combat trained - A male ork with general street combat training and practical cyberware
Stealthy, British - A female human special agent, lightly cybered, recently out of work.
Thoughtful, Introspective - A dwarf with amnesia, cyberlimbs, and only 4 days of memories.
Quiet, disciplined - A blind female human adept, of the katana-wielding variety.
Magical, independent - A male elf owl shaman, who knows the streets as home.
Risky, technological - A male human better at getting in to trouble than out, with vehicle and computer skills.
Let me know which ones you might be interested in playing, and I'll post more details.

I've settled on the last character, who is a compelling troll used-appliance salesman/repairman by day, and magically awakened.
Also, I'd just like to say that I DO NOT recommend that people new to Shadowrun try to play spellcasters. Spellcasting is complicated, and I've never even witnessed spirits in action in 3rd Edition. LOTS OF RULES OH GOD.

Sounds good, then. I'm only putting in a character that can summon spirits (the elf) because it won't ruin the game if I have to read the rules for half an hour to figure out how it all works. It's a bit more of a problem when everyone is sitting at the table waiting.
Do either of you have the core book available?

If I dont hear back from Xboxplayerj or glitterboypilot soon, I'll have to assume that they're either not still interested or too busy to fit a game in anyway. If you guys know any other players that you think might be interested, nudge them this way!
Alternately, we might be able to play it with only two. A cyber-ork and an elf shaman...if they play their cards right they could probably get most jobs done.
