We have 120ish members this year. Our highest score was an 83-something, and we didn't go to WBA championships or BOA regional finals. :[

It hasn't been a very good past two years for us. We were 160 my freshman year, two years ago, made championships, and the highest score was 87ish.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed,
but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance...

wow, so many big bands!
(we're 1A at 30 something)

we did pretty good this year. I mean, we're not state or national chapions or anything (do they let small bands even compete for that?) , but we got 1st in every competition (we had five) except for simi valley (we got third, losing to two bands that were twice our size and way better funded), and in both of our parades. Heck! we even beat Grenada at their own parade, which usually never happens.

it can be tough to get everyone up to snuff (when your band is small, if one person messes up or drops out, EVERYBODY hears it), but we consistantly have the top music scores

and a fight scene.

so yeah. done bragging.

oh, and most of our brass section has been in the rose parade at least once.

Uh being a 4A champion band in California isn't that big of a deal...
When you can come to Texas and be a 4A champion let me know k?

We march about 90 every year
Our directors wrie every aspect of our show.
But we only got up to about 190 this year.
We had clsoe to NO breaks in our show this year. Minus the third movement where we had to stand still for some body movements.
Next year we're probably going to march in one heck of a funky time signiture.
Our Wind Ensemble is the best in the entire region. [D
We're the ONLY band in our district to break into the BOA standards.
We have 3 students that advanced to State this year from a district that never sends ANYBODY to state.

We had a little girl move to Texas from California and she's ridiculously behind in the 3rd band when she was in a second band at her old school.

Texas bands FTW

We normally march about a 4A, I think.
In my county that's the third-largest bands. So normally we have about 100-105 people.
This year we are going to have 120 flat.
We actually might go up a class to 5A, I've heard. If we do, we're in for holy hell because the 5A bands are EPIC.

so our band last year was 30 people 25 not including color gaurd
5 color guard
2 bari sax's (that season these were our equivalent to tubas)
2 trombones (1 was me)
2 baritones
2 mellophones
4 trumpets
2 clarinets
2 piccolos
3 pit percussion (1 mallet 2 that play other random instruments)
2 snares
1 quad
3 bass drums

we won every competition except for one we got 2nd out of 4

we got 24 out 36 or something in our division we won invitationals (which doesnt sound great but considering we haven't done that good since like 2000 we were all really happy)

back in 1996 however just 14 years ago the band was about 200
and we won everything (when i say that there average score was like a 95) we went to and 6 years before that they marched in the London new years parade but since then the school split into 2 different schools and we went through a terrible band director who was forced to take the high school job : P

lets see about 50 something members including dancers (no color guard or drumline just pit) we have gotten 90 +'s and stuff and were grand champs at certain competitions against 5A bands. mrgreen

I envy you people. We are in 5A with a maximum of 58 people so it's not fair that we're up against people like Lafayette and Dunbar when we compete in competitions because everyone has way more than us. Our sound can't compare to them. They rank us with the amount of people in the school instead of the people in the band. It's stupid.

When we go to the smaller competitions we usually get 2nd, but we're up against two or three bands. We always lose to North High. It's annoying because they only march better than us, they don't sound better at all. I had to watch their show four times my freshman year before I liked it any at all. It had to grow on me. xp

We're only really good when it comes to concert band. We got 4 distinguished ratings and two at state with one proficient rating. Only 13 bands in the entire state of Kentucky went to the state concert festival.

Meh, our pants are navy and we have black dinkles. :b
We have 102 members and we have been to state 28 consecutive years in Indiana's ISSMA championships. (Only band to have that record, woot woot!) We are in Class D and have won 6 times at state, I think? Class D in ISSMA standings are like the smallest schools. We're big though for Class D because there's some schools that had like 15 people, I think. l: Don't quote me on that because I'm not exactly sure.
