It was pretty ironic when Rem died... I can't say I laughed though, I was in shock over L's death. The first book I read was the 7th (blame my library) and I really liked him... so I was like 'WTF?' when he died.
Still... even though this answer has been cropping up a lot, I laughed when Light died. It was just so pitiful.

I was too distracted by L's death to laugh at anyhting. I watched that part with my friends soo it was a basement with about 10 fangirls all sobbing...it was kinda pathetic... sweatdrop

Yeah, Light's death was pretty much the funniest thing ever. When he was running and whining about his arm I was like that's what happens to you NOW DIE ALREADY! xd

i didn't like or dislike Rem. I thought she was a good character, just irrelevent to me. Plus, didn't have time to laugh of cry for her cause i was already crying cause L and Watari died.

i didn't give a crap about rem...i'm pretty sure he's a dude...plus i was still staring at the computer screen mumbling something like "hmmnaflabawhaa? L Wata-nomufaba!!!!!!!" but later i watched it again and passed over the L and Watari died (cuz seriously, who needs to go through that torture more than once?) and when rem died i just went "whoop!!!!! finally!!! next comes Light!!! right?? go die Light!!!!!" then of course, later Light dies and i'm laughing hysterically at his pitiful a**-whupping from matsuda!!!!!!!!hahahahaha! maybe i should take some happy pills now...

I laughed when Rem died in the movie mainly b/c the voice actor made her (him?) sound like a transvestite. And I laughed evilywhen Light died however twisted
