WhiteValkyrie Well, many anime/mangas wear casual clothes but that doesn't makes the clothes a costume since almost every kind of clothing is already worn by a character so everything could be counted as cosplay. People seem to forget that cosplay means costume play, to count something as cosplay it would have to include being the "charater" as whole and not only wearing clothes like the character got. That is the reason why any kind of fashion where you are yourself and not somebody else from the personality/acting not a cosplay. I see your point.

That being said, have any of you ever worn a regular lolita/kodona outfit to a convention as a costume?
I wear lolita to conventions but not as a costume just as a lolita!
Do any of you own cosplay quality or themed outfits for the purpose of cosplaying?
I own cosplay costumes.... None of which are lolita. I mean I use my bodyline pannier for my Meiko costume.
One day though I will be making lolita dresses for two purposes, certain characters and to be a lolita. But that is only because I fell in love with that characters Coordination!
Do you despise cosplay?
No I find it enjoyable
Or do you shuck the bonnets and run around in ninja attire for the weekend? Got pics?
I refuse to show picks... Just as I am barely beginning to get a hold of being a Lolita I am barely getting a hold of being a cosplayer
How do YOU feel/do/interpret cosplay?
I love cosplaying.... I get to wear things I normally wouldn't. I get to be a slut where normally I am the girl at school who wears to many layers,lolita, so at conventions and in cosplay I wear very revealing costumes and it is fun!

Yea, I have a sailor venus costume and a Saber from fate/stay night costume. I also have previously cosplayed a misa amane from Death Note.

No I enjoy dressing in costume and pretending to be someone else. It takes creativity and imagination.

No, and I don't wear bonnets I like headbands or ribbon.

I love it especially when the person cosplaying looks like the character because it's like, wow real anime character. Yay! ^_^
