You Through My Eyes

This is you through my eyes
Perfect
Without blemish or defect
On me, total paralysis is your effect

This is you through my eyes
A shining star in a pitch black world
Everything around me seems to swirl
As I watch the darkness billow and twirl

This is you through my eyes
A twinkle in my eye
A star in the sky
So beautiful I could cry

This is you through my eyes
My one and my only
To have and to hold me
Forever to own me

The world
The world is spinning, changing, swirling
I'm falling
Falling into the void
Catch me
Catch me I'm falling
Falling so fast
The darkness splits
I hear music
Sweet notes that soothe my soul
The darkness sweeps over once more
The swirling darkness
Sucking me in
Drowning me
Smothering me
My eyes
My eyes can't see the truth
They are blind
I am blind
Blinded by the truth
I stumble through the darkness I know as Earth
Figures
Blurry figures point and laugh
They laugh
Cruel, mirthless laughter
I try to run but I can't
My soul
My soul burns
It aches with the scorn of the outside
Questions, unanswered, tear at my mind:
When will it end?
I try to act like it isn't happening
But it is
Why?...How?
How can people be so cruel?
I try to escape with my dreams
Only to return the next day
It's an endless cycle
A cycle I am stuck in till the day I die

Apology For A Lover

I'm sorry that I wasn't there
That I dumped you without a care
My heart is calloused against all love
A curse it seems from God above

In a loveless darkness I will fall
As my heart begins to abruptly stall
I can feel I'm dying slowly inside
My life goes in and out with the tide

I see a graveyard full of stones
With names of loves I've already known
Seeing the names I am reminded
Of how by their love they were blinded

They refused to see and thus could not know
The kind of fortune I would bestow
Now they lie in their graves
My only wish their souls to save

Aren't I Glorious?

I built a tower today.
It touches the heavens.
Aren't I glorious?

I started a war today.
Blood will be shed on my account.
Aren't I glorious?

I withheld money from a starving child today.
At least I am satisfied.
Aren't I glorious?

I gave money to the poor.
Somebody will get a meal today because of me.
I am not glorious.

I helped restore a church.
The congregation thanked me.
I am not glorious.

I gave my coat to a homeless man.
His eyes filled with tears.
"You are glorious..." He sobbed.

I'm Dying

I'm dying
Like a father that's trying
To provide for his wife and child
To save them from dying

I'm dying
Like a man that is lying
To hide the drugs that he's buying
To ignore the joint that he's lighting
To escape the fight that he's fighting

I'm dying
Like a child that's crying
Because his parents are fighting
Because now the mom's dying
And the father's life is fleeting

I'm dying
Like the man that was beaten and bleeding
To save the lost and the weeping
Whose death was needed
So that the grave was defeated

Recite the words inside my heart
Nothing’s whole
Everything’s apart
You chase after dreams
Out of your reach
What’s the point?
Your faith, to breach
Kill it now
Your hope is gone
Everything is meaningless
No point to advancement
Destroy the world
In a nuclear blast
A single spark
The catalyst
Hateful words
Hateful men
Selfish gains
Selfish ends
Watch it all
Burn away
Waiting for
The End of Days
Cursing everything
As we fall
Watch as darkness
Covers all
Wallow in despair
Men of the world
The end has come
Come what may
Let fire fall
And consume these beings
A waste of space
They have no faith
Let the ground open
Swallow them whole
Sink to the abyss
Forever more
