I kind of doubt that your employers would ever check out Gaia. But I understand what you mean about not wanting everyone to have access to your personal information. I kind of like the anonymity on Gaia. But just in case someone does recognize me, I try to make sure that I don't post anything that I would embarrassed for them to see.

Which is why I'm so hesitant to post much on the "In My Pants" game thread. Not something I want to have to explain during a job interview. eek

I doubt that they could have access to it even if you did use facebook connect. Trust me, no one you know (besides the people you know on here) will ever see what you post. You're getting kind of paranoid if you seriously think that your employers will look at a game in a guild on Gaia. blaugh Plus, Gaia isn't nearly big enough or well known enough for employers to check. Really, not that many people have Gaia account (or at least who openly admit it) in our age group.

Okay I posted in around ten threads today, so I better see some effort here.
If I don't see each of you post in all the threads I posted in by the end of the week...I'll PM chibi the worst, most nonsensical pickup lines I can muster. And believe me they're bad. But you have the power to save her! Her fate is in your hands.

Poor Chibi. Bless your heart! blaugh Chibi, I have a really weird sense of humor, so I get a kick out of bad pick-up lines, for some strange reason. If you find yourself being traumatized by the cheesiest pick-up lines in the history of the known universe...just tell me what they are. Chances are that they will make me laugh! mrgreen
And yes, I've been doing my part by posting in the guild. As usual, my posts don't make any sense, but at least it's something... xp

What are you talking about? Of course your posts make sense! blaugh I'm glad that you and so many others are making more of an effort to be active. Perhaps that will spur some people to hang out around here. Because everyone knows that an active guild is more fun than a dying guild. biggrin

Oh, I doubt employers go looking on Gaia to see what we've posted. Besides, the nature of Gaia is anonymous. That's why we have little avatars next to our posts instead of tiny pictures of ourselves. And why you don't need anything real but an e-mail address and a birthday to join.

Exactly! xd I think it would be weird so suddenly be put in a room with everyone I know on Gaia. All of us are so used to seeing each other's avatars. I've found out that I like some people better on Gaia than irl, and that I like some people irl better than on Gaia. It's a very odd thing when you think about it. confused

I never thought about that. It would be weird not to like people IRL who I do like on Gaia. But I guess there's gestures, tone of voice, dress, and attitude that don't come off very well on internet posts.
I probably have a tendency to sound ditzier in real life than online, 'cause I have a very expressive way of talking. And my answers don't come off as polished as when I can take my time writing things and editing them before I post. sweatdrop On the other hand, I think I'm a lot of fun to be around and that doesn't come off well on the internet!

You're not lame Diablos! I was just talking about some of the people I know irl who are different on Gaia. For example, I have a friend on campus, and I just found out that this friend has a Gaia account. And it wasn't until I found out that she has an account that I found out that she is a yaoi fangirl and hangs out in chatterbox. sweatdrop She's still cool, but I have more in common with her irl. (And if you happen to read this, *hugs*) (I told her about the guild, but I don't think she's joined or anything.)
But you have to admit, we're a bit different on Gaia from how we are in real life. I mean, I am certainly no leader in real life. I couldn't even get first graders to listen to me when I was doing my student teaching. sweatdrop But when I'm on Gaia no one picks up on my awkwardness, so I'm actually considered pretty cool. cool
And seriously, what do you mean by "group experiments"?

I have a tendency to stumble over my words quite often when I speak. sweatdrop It's kind of annoying to me, so I know that it must bug other people. I've never met anyone irl who I've met on Gaia first, so I'm not sure how it would work.
