When I was a little girl (3-4years old) I dressed up like a different Disney princess every day. I just like dressing in cute dresses and when I saw this style in a magazine my aunt had I fell in love with it. I guess I have always liked it, I just didn't know there was a fashion movement of all the things I liked. Its not really about standing out for me, I kinda wish everyone dressed this way . heart

C a t h a r s i s I like the way it looks, and I enjoy the prints. I love sewing Lolita clothing, and making the related crafts. Plus browsing egl and egl_comm_sales is addictive. Also, I enjoy the company that wearing Lolita has introduced me to. I've made some good friends because of the fashion and meetups. ps. Lolita is not a verb, you need to specify... dress, love, wear, etc. I know that Lolita isn't a verb but it sounds catchy ^_^

I like Lolita fashion because I like alternative fashions, and this one is quite alternative and, IMO, quite pretty. I feel like a frilly princess when I wear Lolita out, and I really like that feeling ^_^
Also, jeans are way boring xd

There are a lot of reasons but probably most of all because i can still be girly and dress in many different styles while doing it. Also I love the lace and Victorian styles so what is there not to love?

I am a loli and i love it. I wear lolita because i have always loved the style and it is just soooooo much fun to flaunt 4laugh its sooo KAWAII!!!!

You know that really sweet, soft spoken girl from high school that was lovely in every way and all the guys and girl absolutely loved her? Lolita makes me feel like her. ^ ^

Like for the most lifestyle lolitas my reason is that I want to bring back purity into the human heart. The most people don't believe in miracles and spirits anymore what makes people being negative. So being a lolita is my part to make people believe again in fairytales because dressing lolita makes the world appear a bit more like one.

I wear lolita because its just as gorgeous as i am. heart i appreciate that people actually appreciate quality when buying lolita clothing. That means alot to me as a sewer, esspecially one who has seen how much work goes into a lot of the little details. And... i like feeling like a princess.

I am heavily influenced in my love for lolita because I love victorian and rococo fashion. I also love Marie Antionette, her dresses were just so beautiful, and I like the fact that a lot of my favorite designers are influenced by her. I also love lolita because its so delecate and incorporates childrens tales such as Alice in Wonderland and other stories into it.

I've attempted to live the life of a princess for all of my life
before I realized that there was a collective group of people
who do the same - and even have a name for it!
xd
My spare cash seems to go towards dress-up jewelry
and bedroom decor intended for those far, far younger than myself.

I adore the sweetness and innocence of the human heart.
I want to live that role and encourage others to embrace their inner magic.
The encouragement part is hard because I'm such a shut-in
(and I'm not yet brave enough to show my lolita self in public),
but I make up for it by being kind and courteous to everyone I meet.
By the by, has anyone here heard of or read the childrens' novel, Fancy Nancy?
That girl is, like, a deity in my eyes.
