Shishi=Lion.
Kumo=spider
Okaasan=mother (But only when you are speaking to your mother. Exp: Okaasan, nandesu ka? "what mother?")
hah=Mother (but only when you are speaking about your mother. Exp: watashiwa haha buronda desu. "my mother is blond")
Otoutou=Little brother (also toutou)
Imoto=younger sister.
Onisan= Big brother. (also Nii san 'less formal' or to be annoying 'Ni chan' but that is insulting)
Onesan=big sister. (Also Oneechan 'cute' but can be annoying. Nee san, 'look at nii san)
Obaasan=Grandmother(Also Obba chan)
Soba= grandmother.

One of my favorite Japanese words is キモイ (kimoi). It's an adjective meaning gross, digusting, or creepy and is a fusion of the words "気持ちいい (kimochi ii)" and "悪い(warui)" which means the same thing. キモイ is more slang and my Japanese friends and I use it often, haha.

There are a lot of words like that: Using the repetition Kanji.
Hitobito means many people.

There are a series of adjectives that repeat the first sound.
Kurakurapa means crazy.
Bakabakashi means ridiculous. [Is there an 'i' at the end of that word?]
