Hey all. Looks like I caught the flu. I won't be posting at all today, but I will tomorrow if I feel better (I will be calling out of work).

Sorry everyone!

Got hit with a pretty bad virus/spyware earlier today while researching stuff on Avatar: The Last Airbender Wiki. Firefox and IE no longer work, and most of my programs no longer work. Currently using Firefox's predecessor, Mozilla, as it's officially outdated and no longer in use, and thus overlooked by this nasty thing my computer has contracted.

I *CAN* still post, but the screens don't load completely, and without use of my full resources and bookmarks, it's made things a tad tricky.

So, until I get rid of this thing, XP Anti-Virus 2011, I'm going to be inhibited and probably not posting much. With any luck, the Malware Bytes forums will be able to walk me through the correction process, as they have done so once before. Just waiting for a reply to my thread.

As a heads up to everyone, I just finished booking it tonight.

I'm going to LAS VEGAS, BBY!

But for all the wrong reasons. I'm looking to move from Connecticut to Nevada, and I'm there to stake out jobs and housing.

Sorry I've been distant the past few days, but I've been trying to get this all scheduled out. I doubt it's the last I'll be flaking out prior to my departure date, either.

I am leaving WEDNESDAY, MAY 11th. I'm bringing my laptop with me as well as some gaming books (minimal), so I should be able to post some while I'm down there. But this will be probably late at night after a day of running around, so the posts will be few and far between.

I leave Vegas the following Wednesday night, and I will return THURSDAY, MAY 19th. I should be back around noonish.

To those who don't know already, I work at a casino in CT, called Mohegan Sun. I know the dangers of gambling, and have no intention of doing so. I don't gamble, I don't drink, I don't smoke, and I don't do drugs. The biggest danger I'm in while there, I imagine, is from getting mugged, and trust me, I'm a speedy little devil (my coworkers can't keep me pinned down to save their lives). So pending act of god, I should be returning in one piece. :3

And I'm back! And on vacation still until 26th!

Hi everyone! Just as a heads up, I leave tomorrow morning to catch a plane to start my vacation. Internet will be spotty, but I *WILL* be logging in to still do stuff. But I'm looking to relocate to Nevada, so some of my time will be used up on that.

I *AM* an introvert though, so my evenings will probably still be spent in this guild. Sorry everyone (especially in Merc Work) waiting for me.

I'll be checking out of my hotel in a couple hours, and I'll be off the grid until tomorrow. Unless I'm a total mess from changing coasts, in which case, Monday is a safer bet. I go back to work on Thursday.

My mother's going in for surgery very early tomorrow morning, and I may be scarcer than usual the next week or so. Which depends on her more than me. I'll still try to be on every day, but my schedule MAY be hectic until New Years.

'Tis the season, m i rite?

Okay, to keep everyone informed:

I am in the process of getting ready to move to Las Vegas, Nevada, from Connecticut. I'm looking at a 2700+ mile drive (which I'll have to do twice). I will be leaving on Monday, 3/19/12, and returning by 3/31/12. I'm just moving all my stuff/possessions down there now except for a few essentials, so that way when I have a job lined up, I have to pack the last of it away in my car and I can just do the drive one last time.

For the most part, I might be unavailable during this time. I am having phone and internet hooked up either the night of the 23rd or morning of the 24th, so for a few days, I SHOULD have internet access. I'll probably be mostly settled, and can finally catch up with posts without any real pressure.

My actual estimated driving times are from Monday Evening, 3/19 until mid-late Thursday, 3/22. I will depart from there on the morning of Tuesday, 3/27, and I expect to be entering back into my state by the night of Thursday 3/29 or morning of Friday 3/30.

I apologize to everyone for being so absent the past week. I have been making calls and appointments and furniture shopping and all that good stuff. While kind of fun, they've detracted from my time online. But I assure you, this is a one-time problem. Come my return, I will have no excuse.

Though I'm sure some people haven't been patient with me, I suspect most of you have been, and to those people I am grateful. I will try to make sure I am as caught up as I can be by the time I leave.

As an epilogue to this post, I would like to leave you all with the following to reflect upon, and perhaps get a better understanding into my situation:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I leave in one hour, people.

Hopefully I make it in one peace!

Those of you in the southwest who want to help me assemble furniture hang out, leave me a PM and I will give you my number. I'm planning on being in Las Vegas from Thursday afternoon into Tuesday morning.

I am having phone and internet installed Saturday morning, so I should be popping in and saying hi. Assuming I arrive in one piece.

Toodle pip, everyone!

Okay, I'm back. 5725 miles later, and I'm still in one piece. Though a little worn out.

I'll be trying to get back into my routine the next couple days. Sorry for the huge delay everyone!

As a quick heads up to people, who might be noticing my lack of presence as of late.

My grandmother suffered a perforated large intestine on July 4th, and has been hospitalized because of it. She had to have a colonoscopy because of it. She'll have to be under direct care from medical staff for the rest of her life, though that's probably not a very long time, to be frightfully honest.

I'm not asking for condolences nor well-wishes. I'm telling you, this community, because you have a right to know why I haven't been around much. Honestly, it's even cutting into my job searching time I set aside each day, so this doubly hurts my schedule.

I haven't abandoned you, and will pick up the posting soon. But I just can't right now. I just don't have the time. When things get settled and family members stop fighting with each other over this, then I will be more frequent, I promise (yes, things are a lot more complicated than I've let on). Until then, please bear with me. I'm sorry for people getting frustrated and/or losing interest. I truly am, and I do feel bad every day I let all of you down like this.

Sorry I haven't been that active lately, folks and folkettes. I had pneumonia a few months back (my first time), and I thought I got over it. I got sick a few weeks ago and it seemed to have re-activated something in my lungs and breathing has been a... well... labored chore, I suppose; it's been making it hard to focus on anything. The doctor gave me an inhaler to help cleanse my lungs, and it's been helping a little.

Currently I'm out of state though, taking a friend of mine to a concert before her husband deploys again (army). I'll be back by tomorrow night and I'll see what I can do... but it's a 6 hour drive back, not including the snow and ice that was just dumped on the entire region. I probably won't be in the computer-turning-on mode when I get back, but you never know.

Beyond this concert gift I'm giving my friend, I have some errands to run next weekend (Tues/Wed for me), and then starting April 4th, I'll be on a 2-week trip to a couple states across the country to visit people. The final stop of my trip is in Las Vegas at my house (and a job fair, which hopefully bears fruit!), so I'll be checking in then. Likely 4/10-4/14. Then I drive back to Connecticut.

So yeah, it's been a busy IRL lately. I should be good upon completion of this trip. I'm sorry everyone for my quasi-absence and how it's been impacting my games (as a player and a GM). I'm trying! And, as new members of the guild might have noticed, as well as people creating new games, I am still coming on for administrative duties.

Soon, preciousss, soon.

Okay, blargh.

The trip sucked and ran me more ragged than I would have liked. There was a TON of crappy things that went wrong with the trip (in so much that I had to make a list to keep track of them all), including but not limited to:

  • $250 fee for getting towed 5 miles.
  • Having the water company turn off my water and having no records as to why (finding out the day OF the job fair I drove down there for).
  • Finding out about the Boston thing; though I live in CT, Boston is the closer of two major cities (the other being NYC), so it is kind of in my back yard. Also my mother is a marathon runner, but thank goodness she wasn't running in THAT race.

I got back on Wednesday the 17th, and went to work the following morning, and it's been an arduous task of trying to adjust to my old schedule without allowing myself time to do so. These days off I just had resulted in something like 28 hours total I've slept. I'll probably turn in early tonight too.

I did bring back my Midnight books on behest of one of my gaming friends... who promptly decided to bow out of gaming for the foreseeable future. Regardless, I have them if such a campaign would ever be utilized on here.

I need to spring clean the guild like whoa. To do that though, I have to clean out my inbox; the 98-99% full threshold kind of hinders contacting multiple parties. Maybe over the course of the next week?

I also want to get to the doctor's again. I was going to this weekend but my body decided it needed sleep more.

Also it seems no luck on the job front sweatdrop sad

Er... nevermind. I just got hired o_o

In about 3 weeks I will be no longer in my Colchester, CT home but in my Las Vegas, NV home - for good! <3

I'll probably be nonfunctional for a bit longer, because of it. Sorry, folks sweatdrop
