Sadly, I watch/read shota every so often. But it always makes me feel guilty, especially this crazy one with like a one year old baby. That was seriously omg.......bad.

"Seriousness is the refuge of the shallow."
I'm sorta neutral :3 I prefer grown men, rather than boys...though there are of course a few exceptions, like Ciel and Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji, or Honey and Mori from Ouran (yes I count it as shota because it's not the age, it's how old they LOOk that matters.) Oh, and THIS. Seriously, who can resist that? (where's it from, anyway? 8D *takes surprisingly convenient opportunity to ask* I don't have a problem with it, since it's not harming anyone IRL or suchlike smile - Oscar Wilde.

...um, yeah. Fetus ********? That's just gross, IMHO xD
Shota fluff can be okay. But for smut, Saffron prefers men above the age of 20. - Oscar Wilde.

I must say that I'm not crazy about shota, but I understand that it's an important part of Japanese culture because of the way samurai were brought up. In fact, my very favorite anime pairing has a shota side. I love Okita and Hijikata from Peacemaker Kurogane (and from history too, but those particular characters are my favorite anime pairing). The generally accepted story of their relationship is that Hijikata took Okita in to teach him when he was nine. Of course, they fell in love, and the 20-something Okita Souji in PMK is much younger than Hijikata. The age difference would have been more apparent when he was only nine, and there are doujinshi about that time.

I don't like Shota, but it's not because it has Kid x Adult relationships. It's just, I guess, I like to be able to connect to characters in the manga I read.

I'm not against it, people like what they like, but I personally don't like it...I just can't feel anything for kids, I agree with Baka_Lolita I just can't relate as much story/character wise.
