heyy, at least i didn't use an ultimatum like "always". i said usually. do you think putting high quality in the title of your thread has helped you get more customers, though? oh, and i really like your points idea for slots : )

If I see the word "quality" in the title, I don't go in. Simple rule to go by. If they have that, they're either sub-par artists trying to make their art off for better than it is, or decent artists kissing their own a**. If they're really high quality and don't fit the above, I'll have heard of them and wouldn't need the shop to tell me so- simple, mes oui c:
For some reason, most of the artists I admire have shop titles that.. aren't titles? I don't know how to explain it. They're usually just sentences or gibberish, not "SO-AND-SOS ART SHOP: HIGH QUALITY!"

*Guilty of having "quality" in her thread title xD; *
Back like a year, 2 years ago ago, only artists who made high quality work put "quality" in their titles.
I went on a year long hiatus and am noticing many more amateur artists with "quality" in their titles. :[ (There's also a lot more bribe/offer shops, as well as Chibis. O___o; )

rice saysyea i've seen a lot of those types of shop and it turns me away from them...... a good artist doesn't need any publicity stunt to promote themselves they let their works do the talking

I'm hopeless at naming my stores and auctions. =P
The only thing that annoys me in a shop name is a whole bunch of random japanese words like: kirakirakawaiinekochanshoppudesu! But if the art is good I can ignore that. >,<

...I look for "open".
my shop names range from totally thoughtless (sketchy headshots) to personally significant (QUETZALCOATL!).
I sure wish there was a formula from determining bad from good art shops. >___>

Most shops with quality in their name aren't quality at all But if it have "Expensive" in title, i think it's quality shop, cuz if not quality they can't overprice if they don't want a no-customer-shop xd
For buying art, i'm looking a temp bribe shop, or "OPEN slot" in title xd
