Before the x-mas break my BD set up a scavenger hunt to help us clean out our lockers. Some of the highlights included Tea bags x-mas bows milk cartons straws mouthpieces valve oil lyres a tuba mouthpiece (we only have one so people fought over this one) pics of prevoius members and old music from different years There were other things of course like the unwanted dirty old clothing articles and label cups from marching band but it was fun cuz whichever section got the most items got 5 bonus points on an exam. my section the flutes, clarinets, and oboe won of course. We also have some things that to this day can not be cleaned cuz the cieling is 20 ft high in the band room. Like the hackysac stuck on top of a light and some pencils stuck in the stryofoamish ceiling tiles.

We cleaned out the attic above our band room and found some old neon pink guard uniforms, gold-sequined vests, and some red shirts with red chilis on them!?!

[We once cleaned out our instrument room, and we found; a wedding gown, a crate of very stale kit-kat bars, a carnival bear, 8 plungers, and a hubcap.]
[Everything else was ordinary/expected.]

We found a couch in the cave. Also several crickets inhabit the band room at all times. You can sometimes stumble across those.

ummm... -open femine products (not used... thankfully) -flip flops -shoes -dozens of socks -music -folders -jackets, shirts, pants... etc. (we made a person, too. lol, but he was somehow attached to our acoustics) -old uniforms in the storage area (what were those people thinking 30 years ago) -trash, coke bottles... -secret notes from past years...
i'm probably forgetting a whole bunch more, but yeah...

Laurel_Leonhart A backpack filled with Dungeons and Dragons books and game paraphernalia. Belonging to a band member who gradutaded 2 years before. Oh, awesome loot. Last year we were moving into a new school and we had to clear out the entire band room - the coolest things I found: a box of marching band capes no one knew existed, several suzaphone bells, a gross-looking San Fransisco sweatshirt, and a clean pep band shirt from a few years ago that was in my size - I took it home and still wear it on occation.

For some unidentifiable reason, we always had an abundant number of misplaced clothing laying around our locker room. We never found anything as interesting as underwear, however, and we were never fortunate enough to discover a box of condoms (although some of us needed them). Until I read the responses to this thread, I thought my high school band was the most unique. I realize now how wrong I was!
