Moonblossom I change my avatar a squajillion times a day, so whenever I commission someone I make sure to post the avatar I want drawn, just to be sure. I have a few, depending on my moods, and sometimes I make a new one and fall in love with it. I do have a few that have changed slightly over the years but are still like.. "classics". This one in particular: Used to look like this:

Some people can just tell. But when it comes to really good crossdressers it's hard to tell. Half the time I ask if crossdressing boys want boobs. Most of the time they don't. ^^

@Istel: *tackles*
There was a time where I ordered art for the wrong avvie. I was so excited that I didn't even notice that it was the wrong avvie that I placed in the order form. I only realized my mistake when the artists was already done with my commish. OTL

I hate the fact that customers ask me for something that looks best in my examples. :/ It frustrates me and I give them crappy art to weep over. Also, I change my art style alot and forget to update my shop lol
None of that art horror has happened to me yet though. And if it ever did I would report that person immediately. neutral I don't play that b.s.

Just because my OC is a girl doesn't mean she's got jugs. Like this and this of my charactershe's no longer innocent. ;__; here's more mishaps, just because my oc is a vampire doesn't make her pale as ******** or emo

The worst that's happened to me is being in a to-do list, and having the artist disappear off the face of Gaia, open-trade and everything.
Right now I have a trade from six months ago that's still open because the girl I commissioned never coloured the lineart. I've PMed her and never got an answer.

I mean, it's cute; I'd hate to not pay her for at least the lineart, but I have no idea what happened to her. 8|
@Tootsie: Wow, that's crazy. x'D

xD; I've hit up a shop, which I followed from the pricing forum, and she insisted that because she's been ripped off before, that a "down payment" had to be made to ensure that I wouldn't just cancel the trade.
A couple of others were taken in too... xD; I received the lineart, sure. But I payed 60k for headshot lineart that was worth about 10k each. The artist just up and disappeared.
@____@ I've been a vacant artist, I'll admit it. When I had my first solo artshop, I was still pretty reluctant to say no to people. This one person, I finally got up the nerve to say "no thanks, I don't believe I can do what you're asking me" and she insisted, offered more gold, then begged me. xD; I couldn't say no. Then my first auction, which was for charity, was auto-bought with a sum that I thought was entirely too much for my art, and I offered like... 20 pics. She offered to double the price, if I drew 40. @___@ I figured I could do it, but I'm SO a**l that doing so many fullbody shots is extremely time consuming, since I'm always discarding sketches. I think I might settle for what I've already done with her, she's waited politely and I've met few who can go longer than a week before pestering me.

On several occasions I've gladly bribed artists with overpayments, whom I thought were very talented by sample. Only, for the few hundred thousand I'll have spent, I'll end up with something like:

That one in particular I was furious with. It looked like they had copy-pasted the eye style from the samples used and just drew on ms paint dolls. 200k.
@Rose Koneko:: OTL OTL I hear you brah. I always feel so bad making people wait, I've got mokona going for atleast 4 months now because I lost her art and have to restart, and other people will bother me a week after they've ordered. FEEL SO BAD. ALWAYS.
I remember that the beginning of last December vyvyy and zack co-autobought my auction, which I was incredibly stupid enough to offer 100 mini chibis for [s-so worth it, but so not ;A; ]. The entire month I was panicing trying to finish it before christmas, I even got online christmas morning just to finish off zack's half because I was worried he'd get mad TAT

@Ch!ps: Oh dear, I would be so mad too if I was in your position. That is sooo not worth the 200k that you paid for.
@Toots: Lulz, I used to have the same problem before, that is why sometimes when I order art. I try to specify some stuff which I don't like.

I would cancel the trade if that is what I would get for 200k. D:
