Art-Trade-Joibon-121251140 This one took me one sitting. What takes up my time most is cleaning my dirty scanned lineart. That goes from 3 to 6 hours. Coloring is a cinch.

Sketching can take me a few hours.
After the initial sketch: Pencil art 1-2 days Watercolor/pencil - 2-3 days
After scaning -
Digital art 1-2 weeks. (possibly longer)

Sketching up to 5 hours because I do so many layers of it, lines less than an hour, colouring and detailing about 2-3. It's on and off throughout different days, I can never get those full hours in at once ono Hour or so for chibi.

Urk. The one in my sig took about 5-6 hours. But roughly:
Lineart: 1-1/2 hours CG: 4+ hours
And this is speaking for a detailed headshot. gonk
I don't sketch on my computer. Waste of time in my opinion, and digital is easier to clean than on a piece of paper. rofl
Paper: 1-2 hours full body
Ms paint: 1-2 hours bust coloured
Chibi: 1-2 hours cged

A few hours for something simple. For something animated it might take longer because im sloowwwwwwwwwww with lineart, and any big illustration takes me up to weeks.

It depends. Just a sketch will take 2 hours tops. Paintings with no backgrounds are usually a cumulative total of 6-10 hours (including sketch-time). But if we're talking a bigger painting with a full background, it would total more like 20-50 hours of work from sketch to completed painting. All spread out over the course of a few weeks...
