Alexander Linden And I know, that's ridiculous. I don't want anyone stealing my art >.< INDEED is kinda lame D:. OM! we are artists we must be creative and well maybe inspirated by others but that is just one thing and then come the creative part will >.>. may be the same, but accepting that tracing is ok. gonk Been copied and traced before ;^; Moonblossom I've got a lot of issues with DA in general. I still have an account there to follow friends, but I had a huge disagreement with some of the photography staff. They moved some of my stuff from Macro to Flowers, which I was okay with since it was flowers, but I wanted to know why it wasn't okay in Macro. What ensued was four days of abuse and insults from the staff, who first told me it did not suit macro, and when I asked what her definition was, it suited my image to a T. I asked if they even looked at the image up close, or just the thumbnail, and then she changed her tune to "Even if you follow the theory, your skills are not up to par" Excuse me? gonk Since when is lack of skill a quantifier for being in the correct section? Not to mention I think it was a pretty decent photograph, compared to a lot of the stuff there. But that is, perdon my french, but is complete stupid. I mean lack of skill of not isn`t a value point to figure out a section. Well that is what I think. Moreover the section at DA I really don`t get it either, you set things at the next day your art have been changed or deleted. Well my lovely "brother" there has lot os troubles with his art. WT! rolleyes well, after reading it and remembering other stuff.I `m thinking about creating an account somewhere else.

D-4mation gonk gonk gonk But that is, perdon my grench, but is complete stupid. I mean lack of skill of not isn`t a value point to figure out a section. Well that is what I think. I think what happened was they moved it based on the thumbnail, instead of the full image, and rather admit there was a mistake/misunderstanding, she tried to find any excuse to make it a "legitimate" move. I just moved to Flickr. I love Flickr, it's a great community. Unfortunately, it's only for photos.

(I've never met a more unfriendly website, when it came to the moderation and admin team.) I'd prefer to keep all my art on y! because the people there are a bit kinder, but I get commissioned for a lot of female art, which isn't allowed on y!. This is my second account on DA, my first I abandoned after the admin/mods openly mocked anime styles in saying that it wasn't real art, and lacked originality.

[ » . . . (. '-')./* ]-sn't a big fan of dA either- I've heard too much about it that's...not what I really want to see in a site. I only keep an account there because it's more convenient for some people to keep up with my work, and because it seems like a gaia trend. O: If people want to see my samples, I might as well keep a gallery similar to what other people use. 8'D Lucky for me, though, I've never had to experience the drama/other stuff because I'm unpopular enough on there. <3
I prefer my website so much more. I can customize it completely, for one thing. 8DDD

People is kinda sturborn when is about accepting that they made a mistake, especially when their head is fill with ego D:. Flickr oh! I saw that side once. Will totally save the page ... didn`t remember the page so didn`t go back. Rose Koneko D: is ridiculous. Now I`m very confident to find a new place >.>. Will still look and talk with some friend. DA is definitely a publicity thing. Once you're on the front page, you're pretty much guaranteed to stay on the front page. I feel like everyone is on there for pageveiws and not for sharing critique and techniques, like it's meant to be.
I also only keep a DA account for the convenience, and luckily haven't run into any real problem.
I did get a note once that was pretty much a mass PM saying "I used your art in a Youtube video, hope you don't mind!". B|
I wasn't really sure how to feel about it. On one hand, I was kind of flattered, but on the other--what the hell? It's my art, not yours to use.
I dunno, I want to start watermarking my submissions, but it makes me feel bigheaded. xD
OH GOD, REGARDING THE TRACING THING:
There's this one artist that traces screencaps and is often on the front page. It drives me crazy. It may be a vector drawing, but you did not draw it. gonk It makes my blood boil whenever I see her stuff up.
DA's rules are really unfair, I think. I have a friend who draws nudity, and some admin pretty much ransacked his gallery. Why is his nudity not okay when if you go into the photography section there are a bunch of risquee photos? :/

I'm sorry but a girl with a shaved p***y with her lips spread so you can see her c**t ring is not "artistic nude". gonk

Haha, thanks for posting an awesome example of what I meant about artistic nude! She's topless, and sexy, but rough and awesome and not "omgproooonz" The photographers on DA need to learn that ;P Your art is awesome.
