Moonblossom There's always gonna be some people who don't read/find it disorganized, but I accept that. >< I added the FAQ when people kept asking those over and over, even though they're all answered, and some people ask again anyways!
Ugh, people who don't read rules are always easy to spot, aren't they? xD
@Jaganshe: xD!

Yeah XD It's not just the rules though. Stuff like "when does this end?" or "does it have to be coloured?" or "can I enter my avatar?"
crying So many people thought it was an avatar contest!

I couldn't tell you, since my contest has been...neh...
Have a few regulars but I would LOVE more entries. XD
It's probably because I haven't really been posting much lately, I've been so insanely busy with finals and an OCT I was in, but that's done and finals have come and gone, so now to the posting EVERYWHERE. XD

Graphics, I must say everything enter first by the eyes - view is the amnin thing- yeah! my english suck. BUt everytime I click at some thread the first thing I like to see might be the graphics if they are some >.> and the whole thread look neat, in order. Not color fonts that make my eyes timy thing to read it. Or so many colors D:
Then maybe see the samples or the rest of the thread. *even so my first post suck*
And at constest well I really like to read about personalities of the character, as well as the story. I prefer then with that info just one reference is enough I guess.
O_O what can I say I just participated at 2 contest and puff like a year ago. BTW I really REALLY care about the deadline, if the owner is planing to extend it. Sometimes I read almost everything and the deadline is so so tiny. As a person that suck at english is really important to cath up things fast to get a whole idea >.>

@Psycho: Why hello there, affiliate. ninja Heh, I know what you mean. I took my last AP test Wednesday, and I've been getting really obnoxious about advertising ever since. All over my DA page is stuff like ''So, uh, if you wanna enter my contest wink *wink nudge wink*... "
@Moon: I suppose you've got to take the good with the bad then, yeah? xD

That's good to remember; I'll keep that in mind in my future contests. (Also, I think your English is really good. What language do you normally speak, if you don't mind me asking?)

oh! prizes are important too, but is your character have that "appeal" I guess the amount of time drawing them for the contest the artist would not care.
OH! thankies, gaia have helped me a lot, at remembering it. Spanish is my first language. Well now I have to take english as a "obligated" course, so I kinda remembering it >w<. Even so I still have issues at writting it because I`m at speaking it.

I like walking into threads that looks neat and tidy, I don't like to meet a wall of text and no images, I usually just leave then. I like it short, and with a mix of main images and some thumbs. I hate those "click me stars/hearts" or... whatever, where you can't even see part of the image.
Most gaian are lazy like me, we don't like to click, and we don't like to read. (especially if you're browsing a gazillion contests and request threads to find something you'd like to draw, it could get time conzuming to read and click a crap load of stuff.)
I guess this is what I look for first ( requests and contests )
1. I skim the page to see the main images of the characters. ( if I don't see images at all, I leave.)
2. If I find something interesting, I read about the character to see if it's interesting to draw.

Colorless111 for contest i think its a good idea to give about 3 freebies along the way If the person holding the contest has awful art skills, what would be good alternatives to freebies? I've had little dice games and things to give out pink boxes sometimes, is that good?

[ » . . . (. '-')./* ]Personally, when I walk into a thread, I like to see the subject of it really quick. If it's a shop or auction, it's great to see a sample of work within the first few posts, though it's really great to see it in the first post. It doesn't have to be something they're offering, but I like to see what caliber of work I'll be browsing right away. If it's a contest, I like to see interesting characters upfront as well. It's not too much of a bother to scroll down, as long as there are images/banners/thumbnails that are easy to see. But, like I said earlier, I think it's easier to catch someone's attention right away when they see something they're interested in at first glance.
