Here's what I've gathered, not all in line with my school::
trumpet- obnoxious, egotistical clarinet- picky horn- a little self obsessed, wants everyone to know how great they are, but more uppity than trumpets (im a horn... bleh) tuba- drunkard percussionist- idiot
those are the only ones I really know... Sorry...

That all percussionists are male and all floutists are female. (I'm one of two female percussionists in our bands lol...and there are three male floutists. XD)
That all trumpets have an ego. Oh, wait...that hasn't been disproven in my band yet...
That all the saxophones are amused by pointing at the ceiling. (I still don't know why they did that...)
That any and all colorguard members must be pretty girls. (We had a guy one year...lol disproven. biggrin )

From my personal experience:
Clarinet: quiet, but fun. Flute: talkative and somewhat ditzy. Oboe: silly. Saxophone: too cool for school, and rather sexually active Trumpet: HUGE egos. Tuba: strong and silent Trombone: flamboyant kids. French Horn: really down-to-earth and friendly. Percussionists: lazy bums who live in their own world

Marching Band no Jutsu This is all my opinion. Flute: Either uber-hot or just plain annoying. Clarinet: Emo girl or nerdy guy Saxophone: Weird or pimp French horn: Smart girl or skater guy Oboe: Asian kid. Trumpet: Really smart guy or girl who's just in band to get out of P.E.Trombone: Cool kids only. Baritone: Trombone players who like to play other instruments or a kid who has to write note names on the music Tuba: Emo kid or former trombone player. Percussionist: Either really cool or a pothead. Lol That is not true...Completly i play trumpet and i love P.E

Here is what I think of the sections in my band. This is how my band acts.
Clarinets: Smart and competitive, tend to anger or frustrate easily. Some are unable to play confidenetly or at all because they never practice, but good players are amazing and practice everyday. Good clarients are some of the only ones who practice. Hyper, so sectionals often incllude a lot of laughing and new words such as "wimpily" and "weenily" Flutes: Most look normal, not girly but not dark. Some can be dangerous and touchy. Tend to lose instruments when they do practice, which is rare and laughable when it does happen. Talk a lot Trumpets: Loud and obnoxious, but when playing, can barely get a note out and therefore play like wimps, so much even the eight total flutes and clarinets overpower them. As the BD puts it- they play like they have plastic wrap over the bell. Never practice Trombone: The potheads who can't play and never practice. Can't make correct positions and talk back to the BD. Can e kicked out of band halfway through concert season(*coughcough*) Tuba: The tall senior who can't decide to play trombone, baritone or tuba. Can't play any and never practices. Talks often Saxophones: The "cool" kids in band. Think they rule the Earth, but can still be good friends. Pretty popular. Commonly play too loud and rush. When you look at their expressions during a lecture by the BD, they look as if they are calling him crazy or weird inside their head. Talk a lot Low woodwinds: The quiet people who are awsome. Usually end up dating someone in their woodwind family, such as Bass clarinet and clarinet, tenor sax and alto, bari sax and nobody because he is kind of mean and obnoxious. Good listeners and pretty quiet in class, except the bari. Band Director: Crazy weirdo who favors the brass. Yells a lot, but jokes around. Could be bipolar.
So these aren't in my class, because they have their own class and we have them get otut of class before concerts so we can have a rehearsal with them. Percussionists: Loud, funny and interesting. Some talk a ot, but others are quiet. Some are mean and reserved while others are good friends. A few are in between. Theya re kind of mean around other friends, and tend to get annoyed at you, but will help you out if you need it, and basically catch you when you fall. Good listeners and comforters. Always there for a friend.
I love our percussionists<3 They are awseome. Oh yeah, these are only for my band period and the percussionists. The higher band is completely different.
