Keith choose an ancient katana given to him from his father. On the other hand Jack choose a plain sword that was not in the best of shape. Kyle signaled for the battle to start and then they clashed. Keith grumble as he forced his strength upon Jack, who fell backwards but held his own to keep on his feet. Keith punched Jack with his free hand. Jack fell down and Keith was declared the stronger hunter. Jack would go with Keri. It was after several rounds that Adam stepped up to the battlefield. His opponent was Keith, the six foot seven, two hundred pound hunter that had beaten all comers before him. Adam showed no fear as Keith looked down upon him. Adam was only six foot tall but he was a very talented hunter.

“Hmm.. last round ready to get beat Keith?” asked Adam grinning.

“You honestly think you’re capable of knocking me to the ground?” asked Keith laughing.

“We’ll see who’s laughing after I win.” Replied Adam choosing a katana as his weapon and Keith also choose an ancient katana.

“Ready, set, fight!” yelled Kyle signaling for them to start.

Adam charged at Keith and Keith struck back. Both were determined to be declared winner. Kedro already had forty nine of the strongest hunters and he desperately wanted to know if Adam had the strength to beat Keith. The swords clashed as they danced around the battlefield trying to knock each other off their feet. Adam pushed Keith toward the edge, Keith doubled back and struck at Adam with his sword. Adam jumped and turned as he sung his legs and kicked Keith in the head. Keith fell but caught himself in time and their swords clashed again. The both had mean looks on their faces. Adam kicked Keith in the shin with his knee but no effect. Keith looked deeply into Adam’s eyes to try to determine his next attack. Kedro was watching this match carefully. Both men had great strength but which one had the strength to take the other down? They were both strong hunters but they both had helped almost completely finish the wanted list of demons. Adam clashed his sword as Keith jumped out of the way and then Adam swung his sword and hit Keith in the stomach with his elbow. Keith drew blood from Adam as he blocked him and struck his arm. Adam was bleeding but not going to give up easily. Adam slashed furiously at Keith. Blood was spreading all over and Keith double back as Adam pushed forward to block him. Keith whispered to him.

“You can’t win, just give up.” He laughed.

Adam speared him and Keith began to fall back just as it looked like Adam was going to win Keith back flipped back to his feet.

“You can’t win Keith, I know I can beat you for I have determination!” he yelled as he slammed his body into Keith’s. Keith used his strength to throw Adam away. Adam slipped and it looked as if it was over but Adam bared it and landed upon his feet. Kedro was getting impatient with this fight was taking so long.

“Kedro who do you think will win?” asked Kyle curious.

“I don’t know but if one of them doesn’t win soon, I’m declaring it a tie.” He replied.

Adam charged at Keith and Keith blocked with his sword, Adam circled around and used his feet to lift him off the ground and kicked him in the back while floating for a mid second in mid air. Adam used his hands as he landed on the ground.

Keith fell forward but used his sword to stop the fall and then as he turned Adam came running at full speed struck Keith in with his sword. Keith raised his sword as they clashed and continued to fight.

“Would one of you just win already!” shouted Kedro from behind.

Adam took his sword and struck at Keith’s feet. Keith lost his balance and began to fall. Kedro smiled as Keith’s body hit the ground.

“It’s about time. The winner of this competition is our top hunter Adam!” he announced.

Meanwhile Kai was still wondering through the forest. He closed his eyes not wanting to see where he was heading. He continued walking and walking until all of a sudden there was no land beneath him and he fell into the raging water.

Kai struggled to stay afloat the water. He couldn’t swim so his chances of survival were slim. It was a fairly long river but Kai knew this river would lead to a waterfall. Kai hoped there was a drifting log that he could grab onto. He wasn’t sure of his direction only that it led to death. Kai saw the edge of the waterfall in the distance.

“Great, I’m going to die and no one will even know I died.” He groaned grabbing a mouth full of water. Daceria was heading to the waterfall with her elder brother Darkstorm. They had been talking and wondering when the hunters would attack again and how they would handle it. Daceria watched the raging water pour into the lake. She noticed something strange. She thought she saw wolf ears in the falls as they came crushing down, it revealed to Daceria that it was Kai.

“Darkstorm, Kai flew from the waterfall, we have to save him!” she panicked rushing into the water. Darkstorm dove in after her. They swam as fast as possible. Kai was unconscious when they reached him. Darkstorm took Kai’s front and Daceria took the back as they pushed Kai onto dry land. Darkstorm put his hand behind his head and sighed shaking his head.

“Daceria I think we’re too late.” He concluded from observations.

“No, I can save him.” Replied Daceria rushing over to Kai. She got on her knees and leaned down to kiss Kai. Kai was part of their family she could let him die. Kallman and Forest would be terribly upset if Kai died. She wondered why Kai hadn’t tried brothering with trying to swim to shore. Could he swim? She kissed his lips and afterwards began to howl. She fainted and as she did Kai awoke. The first thing he saw was Darkstorm with his arms crossed over his chest glaring down at him.

“My sister has risen you from death. You can thank her tomorrow.” Explained Darkstorm picking her up in his arms and walking off into the forest.

Once again he was alone. Kai sat up and looked around him. The waterfall would have been his grave if not for Daceria. He wondered how exactly Daceria had saved him. Daceria was unconscious when he awoke but Darkstorm had said Daceria had saved him from his grave. He wanted to find out more about Daceria, and there was only one way to do that without talking to her. He would go have a friendly chat with Adam or Kedro. First he would have to fight a hunter to get a uniform, so they didn’t know who he was. Kai didn’t know where the hunters were so he would have to get them to want him like they wanted Daceria. He stumbled to his feet and headed for the village. He would have to ransack something really bad to be higher on the list then Kedro’s main target Daceria.

Kedro was heading to the village to gather some better weapons before attempting to capture Daceria again. Kedro commanded his crew to stand still while he collected some good weapons, and maybe chains while he was at it. So, which weapons where the most effective against demons? He went up to the clerk and smiled.

“Good day to you. I am curious and wish to ask a few questions?” he smiled.

“Ask away.” The clerk replied.

“What kind of weaponry would you suggest against the likes of demons?” questioned Kedro.

“Umm... Well the best would be a sword or a dagger.” He replied.

“Interesting, now do you sell chains?” he asked.

“Oh course. We have the tightest, the best chains you could ever find.” The clerk smiled.

“Very, very interesting.” He smirked putting his fingers to his chin.

“Thank you for your help.” Kedro said walking off to find what he needed.

The store wasn’t that big, and he knew right where he needed to go. The swords were lined up against the wall. Which sword, was best o kill Darkstorm with? Kedro took a sharp edge, long katana and looked at the blade. He felt the tip, it was very sharp. It was perfect for ending Darkstorm’s life, it made him so happy he couldn’t hide his laughing. He put the sword in his arms and began his search for some good chains to keep Daceria capture with. Oh, the thought was so welcoming, so evil, he couldn’t help from smiling while he searched for chains. Once he found them he went back to the clerk and paid for his new toys. He would enjoy them. Kedro went to the door and saw a huge wolf in the village, maybe he would get lucky and it would be Darkstorm. He rushed outside to find out exactly what was going on. Adam was sitting watching as Kedro approached with his blade ready and chains attached to his belt.

“Hey, boss your missing out. Care to help us?” Adam smirked as he watched the others trying to bring the wolf down.

Kai knew he was getting them angry, it was time to return to normal and show them who he was. He transformed back to human form with his wolf ears and tail attached. The hunters stopped and circled around him. Kedro and Adam walked into the circle to discover it was Kai.

“What in the blazing hells is he here for? He isn’t a concern. Adam chain him, I’ll find some use for him. kai didn’t like the sound of that, he turned to run and ran into Keith. Kai looked at him and gulped as he walked backwards into Adam’s grasp. Adam handcuffed his hands and whispered to Kedro that they would save the chains for Daceria. Kai had failed but at least now he would now the hunters location and maybe even learn how to break out of handcuffs and escape before they decided to get rid of him as they had Kallman. He wasn’t as strong as his brother. His brother had survived but Kai knew if he was thrown in the ocean, hands bond he would enter his final resting place at the bottom of the sea.

“Wolf boy, what is your name?” asked Kedro not remembering who Kai was. Kai mumbled his name not wanting Kedro to learn who he was.

“He asked your name.” Adam said putting his sword into Kai’s back. “Name or die.” Grumbled Adam.
“My name is Kai.” He groaned his back now aching f
rom the tip of the blade being forced into his back.

“Kai? Where have I heard that name before?” asked Kedro. Adam held the sword to Kai’s neck as Kedro stepped next to him.

“Tell me exactly who you are and why you were attacking the village?” asked Kedro.

“My name is Kai. I am the younger brother of the deceased Kallman. I am friends with the two girls Forest and Daceria. Daceria’s brother hates me. I came here to learn more about Daceria for she saved my life. “explained Kai not wanting to die by the hands of a hunter especially not one he knew Daceria was in love with.

“Boy you’re going to end up digging your own grave. I will tell you about Daceria. Let us retire for the night. We will continue in the morning. Get a good night’s sleep and be prepared for a battle like no other. One that I will definitely will not forget.” Kedro commanded as they retired in the village for the night.

Kedro retired in their old hut within the village and he took Kai with him. Once inside he bound Kai to a chair and grabbed a chair for himself to sit on.

“Tell me Kai, what do you already know about Daceria?” Kedro asked.

“I know that she was the last of her clan until she met Darkstorm.” Replied Kai. “But that is all I really know of her.”

“Hmm... You haven’t been around her long enough then for you to see she is a princess.” Smiled Kedro.

“I think I remember that but how did she save my life? I was dead by the time they got to me.” Questioned Kai.

“Heh...You are full of questions. You see there’s something very special about her.” Smirked Kedro.

“Well, how did she save me?” asked Kai.

“Daceria is capable of using magic.” Kedro replied smiling. “She has a scroll on her belt that allows her to perform magic. She is the only one of her clan able to do so. Her father the great Ace gave her the scroll. I guess he choose right considering I will not kill her but I will kill her precious brother Darkstorm.” Smirked Kedro.

“If it was magic then why was she unconscious when I awoke?” asked Kai.

“Myself I don’t understand why she bothered saving you in the first place, you’re going to die anyway.” Kedro smirked.

“You mean to tell me you don’t know why she was unconscious?” asked Kai sitting straight up in the chair he was bound to by ropes.

“Me, not know ha!” laughed Kedro.

“If you know then tell me.” Demanded Kai. Kedro pulled out his new sword and held it against Kai’s neck.

“Never demand me around boy or it will be your last
demand.” Replied Kedro. The sun was rising in the east. Kedro looked over at the window and noticed the sun.

“Damn, you’re lucky.” Grunted Kedro putting away his sword. “Just wait boy, I’ll have your head soon enough.” Kedro said leaving the room.

Kai knew he had to warn Daceria that Kedro was on his way. Kai knew his bindings were tight but he knew he had to at least try to escape from the hunters. If he escaped he would run like the wind to tell Daceria of Kedro’s plan. The door burst open and Adam walked in.

“So, Kai why are you getting into our business? You weren’t even on the wanted list of demons. So why did you attack the village?” asked Adam grabbing a chair and sitting across from him. Kai growled not wanting to talk to any more hunters.

Meanwhile Darkstorm was watching over his sister with care. She still hadn’t awaken. He checked her forehead, it was warm. He went and held her hand tight to his chest. Her eyes slowly opened and she saw him smiling at her.

“Darkstorm is Kai okay?” asked Daceria.

“Yeah, he was fine but I sort of yelled him out and brought you back here.” Replied Darkstorm.
“Oh, do you know where he went?” asked Daceria.

“No, but he was heading toward the village.” Replied Darkstorm.

On the other hand Kedro and forty nine hunters waited outside of Daceria’s tree. They patiently waited for Kedro’s signal to attack. Kedro looked to his hunters.

“We will not attack until the moon is full. Adam will be here then to join us.” Spoke Kedro. They all stood frozen in time waiting for the raise of the moon when Daceria would be most vulnerable.

Adam forced Kai to drink the potion which had turned him evil. Kai’s eyes turned pitch black.

“Good now come.” Demanded Adam as they ran into the forest. Once there he told Kedro of what he had done to Kai.

“Welcome to the team!” smirked Kedro. “It’s time Kai, knock on the door.”

Kai went over and knocked on the door and waited for an answer. Darkstorm heard the knock and went to answer it. When he opened the door he was greeted by Kai.

“Hey, Daceria Kai came back!” yelled Darkstorm down to his sister. Daceria ran up and embraced Kai.

“I’m glad you’re all right.” Smiled Daceria not realizing the danger they were in. Daceria sniffed Kai and knew something was different.

Kedro and his fifty men stepped out from their hiding spot. Darkstorm stood in front of his sister as he pushed away Kai and Kedro stood in his place with a sword to Darkstorm’s neck.

“Move.” Implied Kedro to Darkstorm as the men grew closer to their targets.

“I’d rather die than let you have my sister.” Replied Darkstorm grasping his swords sheath and withdrawing it from his belt.

“You really think you can defeat me?” asked Kedro smirking.

“I know I could beat you one on one, with your men you have a slight advantage but I’ll still win.” Replied Darkstorm. He whispered to his sister to flee by using her magic to teleport to somewhere safe.

“Darkstorm, I won’t leave the only family I have left.” She cried embracing him from behind. “We stand together as a family.”

“Sister, I don’t want this filth of a hunter to touch you.” Grunted Darkstorm.

“Brother, I don’t want you to die.” Cried Daceria. He looked to her and then looked back into the dark green eyes of Kedro.

“So sad.” Smirked Kedro. “But if you won’t move, I’ll kill you.”

“Bring it on!” replied Darkstorm holding his blade.

“Hunters, you take care of Daceria, I’ll handle Darkstorm.” Smirked Kedro. The hunters shook their heads as they pushed Darkstorm out of the way. Darkstorm now stood in front of Kedro and Kedro alone. Daceria was running as the hunters chased her through the forest.

“Okay, Darkstorm you got your wish. Now you shall die by the hands of a hunter.” Smirked Kedro as they struck blades.

Darkstorm struck at Kedro and as he did Kedro blocked with his sword. They danced around clashing swords trying to kill the other. Darkstorm jumped off the ground and landed behind Kedro as his sword went into Kedro’s back. Kedro’s blood was all over Darkstorm’s blade. Darkstorm smiled with confidence.

Kedro quickly turned and drew his blade into the stomach of Darkstorm. Kedro wasn’t as weak as Darkstorm thought.

Meanwhile Daceria was still out running her chasers. She was becoming tired and wanted to stop. She thought about what Darkstorm had told her. Use her magic to teleport somewhere safe. She wanted to be with her brother to make sure he was okay. She knew Kedro put up fronts to be weak but he was extremely skilled with a sword. She was worried and tired. She was approaching the village entrance, she knew there were more hunters likely within the village. She would have to teleport or be caught. She stopped and jumped upon the nearest tree. They weren’t demons like Kedro, they wouldn’t be able to smell her scent. She took her scroll from within her belt and opened it. She had never tried most of the spells. She knew them all by heart. She caught her breath as they stood under her. She carefully hid within the leaves.

They knew she had hidden within a nearby tree. One of them could smell her. Kyle had grown up with Kedro and knew the scent of a demon, especially a wanted one. She was definitely there but where?

“Hunters stop!” he commanded as they gathered in a circle around him.

“Daceria has hidden in a tree. Find her before she uses her magic to escape us.” Demanded Kyle with force. The hunters shook their heads and began climbing every tree within range of them.

What they didn’t know was Daceria was already in the process of using her scroll. She muttered teleport and disappeared. She reappeared in the swamp. All of a sudden a branch of vines grabbed her and held her prisoner. She was confused there were no plants in a swamp. The plant made a weird shriek and in just five seconds Kallman appeared along with Forest.

“Daceria?” spoke Forest attempting to go over to her but Kallman held her back.

“Charlie release her, she’s a friend of ours.” Demanded Kallman. Charlie released his vines and freed Daceria.

“Um... Could you explain to me how there is a plant in a swamp?” asked Daceria.

“Well, Charlie is a Venus flytrap. A gigantic one at that. I don’t know how he got here but I’m the only one he’ll listen too.” Replied Kallman.

“Oh, okay guys Darkstorm is in trouble! He’s fighting Kedro to the death!” explained Daceria quickly.

“You’re brother should be able to defeat him if it’s just Kedro.” Replied Kallman remembering Darkstorm’s figure.

“Yes, that’s true but Kedro has his hunters with him.” Daceria replied. Kallman whispered to Forest to take Daceria in the tree house with her.

Daceria stood in front of Kallman with a stern look on her face.

“If you go, I go. I will not let my only family die because of Kedro and his hunters.

“Daceria, I know how you feel but I feel that you are not strong enough yet to handle this situation. You would focus too much attention on protecting your brother and you would be caught in mere seconds.” Replied Kallman.

“You don’t know my strength or my abilities!” growled Daceria.

Meanwhile Darkstorm and Kedro were still beating each other up. Darkstorm’s ears were straight up, he was bleeding from the stomach and he had Kedro bleeding from his left arm and one of his legs. Kedro dodged his last attack. Darkstorm had never seen a human as strong as Kedro. Kedro sliced at his heart and Darkstorm ducked and fell onto his back. Kedro smirked as he put the tip of his blade to Darkstorm’s neck.

“So Darkstorm ready to die?” asked Kedro smirking.

“Hmm...So you think the battle is over? You’d better look behind you./” laughed Darkstorm.

“You won’t fool me wolf I know I’m the only one here and your only help is long gone and belongs to me.” He laughed.

“Daceria will never belong to you.” He growled.

“Well, unless you have some sort of spirit in heaven, you’ll never be able to stop me.” He laughed.

“Yeah, he has a plan all right. “yelled Kallman. Kedro turned around and looked off into the distance and sure enough Kallman was there. Kedro thought it was his mind playing tricks until Darkstorm stabbed him in the back. Kedro fell forward and laid on the grass on the forest’s floor. Kallman stood next to Darkstorm.

Hmm...I thought I was actually going to have to fight.” Smiled Kallman looking down on the body of Kedro. Darkstorm sniffed the area and there was a scent of a fox demon nearby.

“Thanks, Kallman I have to settle the score with those nasty hunters. Please take care of my sister.” Grumbled Darkstorm holding his stomach.

“How badly did he wound you?” asked Kallman with worry.

“Eh, not too badly but I must finish what I started, so leave. Tell her I died for I am afraid I won’t make it.” He said grabbing his sword starting to walk away. Kallman shook his head and walked into the distance.

Kedro opened his eyes once Kallman was out of range and followed Darkstorm’s scent. Darkstorm was still trying to regain his strength when he was struck by Kedro’s blade. Darkstorm fell to the ground with a loud thump as his heart slowed down. Darkstorm struggled to stand up and faced his enemy. He was losing blood his demon side would take over. His body stood on edge and his fangs were bared. His eyes were as black as the midnight sky. Darkstorm’s heart was full of rage, anger, and a lust for revenge. Kedro had made Daceria suffer by not having family and yet in his heart he knew it wasn’t completely Kedro’s fault. He shook his head in shame and dropped his sword to the side.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 26, 2010 9:31 am

“Giving up already Darkstorm or should I say Brett?” asked Kedro. Darkstorm had not transformed for he knew he was the main reason for Daceria’s suffering, he only wished he could tell her goodbye.

“Kedro...You have won this fight but you will not have my sister. She has been given mighty powers and will continue on the legacy of silver wolfs.” Spoke Darkstorm coughing out blood. He was on his knees and losing breath. Kedro folded his arms and gave Darkstorm final requests.

“Any last requests?” asked Kedro.

“Yes one, go to hell Kedro.” Grunted Darkstorm falling on his face as his heart completely stopped. Kedro laughed he had excepted more from his most wanted demon. He crossed him off the wanted list and whistled for the hunters to meet him. They all came and stood in a circle around Kedro. Kedro cleared his throat.

“We are gathered here today as hunters and we want to send Darkstorm to heaven with a burial.” Commanded Kedro. They shook their heads as they picked up Darkstorm’s body and began to carry him off to the land of the dead.

On the other hand, Kallman had returned to the swamp. He jumped into his tree house to meet the girls.

“I’m afraid I have bad news.” Spoke Kallman with a worried expression.

“Daceria, your brother Darkstorm is no longer with us.” Explained Kallman.

Daceria began sobbing and Forest grabbed her and held her, shhing her.

“Shh...It’s okay he fought his best to protect the one he loved.” Whispered Forest.

Kallman paced around the room. He didn’t know why but he had a hunch that Kedro was still alive and would be back once again. Kedro was very very strong for being mortal. Kallman wondered why he had sensed a fox demon nearby, could it be possible that Kedro...no he was just a human.

Daceria was still crying she hadn’t even got a chance to say goodbye. She hadn’t even known Darkstorm for that long....why...why her? She was more determined than ever to master her scroll’s magic and defeat Kedro once and for all.

“Daceria are you okay?” asked Forest comforting her sister.

“I don’t know if I’ll ever be okay. His real name wasn’t even Darkstorm.”

“Keri, Adam, and the other hunters were on their way to the swamp. Kedro had sent Adam with them for extra help. Kedro had given Keri specific orders, kill Kallman and bring both girls to him alive.

On the other hand Kallman saw them approaching from the distance. He looked over to Daceria who was still crying over the lost of Darkstorm to the hunters.

Kallman didn’t know how to tell her the fight was not yet started. He looked out the window again. It was nearing nightfall. He whistled and his bugs flew out to poison them.

Adam who was beside Keri knew of the dangers of the
bugs.

“Keri we need to retreat until morning if any of those bugs bit us we would die of a horrible fate.” Spoke Adam.

“I understand, we will be back in the morning.” Keri replied as they ran out of the swamp. Kallman shook his head with pride. He looked over to Daceria knowing their troubles were far from over.

“Daceria, you can stay with us for a while. It is too dangerous for you right now to be alone with all those hunters out to get you.” Offered Kallman.

“Okay I will stay for a few nights but once the full moon rises I will return to my tree. I can’t stay here forever. I must return to my tree as soon as possible.” She replied.

“I’m just glad you’re safe sister.” Spoke Forest embracing her and comforting her.
