Ok, so here's the deal. In Barton Town are these eggs (there may only be one, it's hard to tell). You have to find the egg(s) and attack them. They're extremely week, so just hitting once with the weakest possible ring is fine (A CL 1.0 Hunter's Bow would do it). Destroying the egg will grant gold and/or event items/loot. Then the egg respawns in another location.
Here's the catch: There's a limited egg population and massive Gaia zOMG population. It's basically a race to see who can find the egg and hit it first. Additionally, it's my understanding that crewing
does not grant egg items to everyone.
Ultimately, the ten minutes or so that spent attempting this event proved to be
very frustrating. Even more so than the main event.
