No, I just "overheard" some lily-livered sea-sponge talking about his father's gun, and how it was responisble for the loss of the sight in his eye.
More's the pity that there was no eye. For you that is. Because that squelchy dull thud, and associated bleeding can only mean one thing; impacted eye socket.
I can't imagine what must be running through your mind, thinking I knew your father...aside from the bone shards from your eye socket, that is blaugh pirate

hey, link, clean up on the deck.... came a voice drifting through the ship.... as an elegantly dressed woman stalked out onto the deck... darn... just as i finally found something presentable to wear on shore..... she grumbles rolling up her sleeves....
then she begins to piece the helpless rhy back together again, after tending to the pirates eye...
go rest in your cabin... she urges her vice captain, with a gentle shove in the direction of the crews quarters

a lacquered box appears at Lyssan's side as she examines the head and the damage the sword had left in it's wake... well at least he keeps the dang thing sharp... not as sharp as my katana... but then that is enchanted not to lose it's edge...
kneeling in a pool of congealing blood, she stretches out the body and repositions the body, then begins to sew the head back on with a silvery needle taken from the box... there doesn't seem to be any thread in the needle but with each stitch the flesh adhers to the neck.

Rhy pops through the 4th wall for a minute. "Give me a break...I need to come up with some feasible way of talking, after my head is severed. I openly acknowledge I am not immortal...but I was playing on the Star Wars origins of my username-would a ghost suit you better?"

that's not my magic sword Captain that's my first sword i made its the sharpest blade in my possession(picks up the sword and cleans off the blood with a rag then throws the rag overboard)

Errr...over here...Lyssan still hasn't finished the stitch up job...I'm still decidedly non-corporeal.
I'm just pointing out that, one would expect a monkey to improve, the more they did something. You obviously haven't improved in your sword making since your first attempt.
