It's only for another 3 1/2 years then we will move on. Provided obama decides he will step down from the throne. The only way the government is going to mind their place is if we the people decide just who runs this country.

See, what I think....some people are saying that we're becoming National Socialists, and I see the truth in that, because I believed it for a long time, until my friend brought light to my eyes.
Soviets.
That's what we're becoming. If you remember, the head of the DHS issued a letter stating that anyone who was against abortion, owned a gun, or was a war veteran were likely to join right-wing extremist groups and become terrorists.
Obama is trying to clear the opposition to make way for his supporters...and get rid of all of the conservatives. Just like the Soviets.
I'm a moderate conservative only on the point that gay marriage doesn't bother me. I think full conservatives are scared of what they don't understand. I don't understand how they think, and I wouldn't want to be gay, but I don't want the government telling them who they can love and marry.

Gay people don't bother me. Gay marriage does. Now before you go and tell me how wrong I am: READ THE WHOLE THING. Marriage is a sacred union between a MAN and a WOMAN. Marriage is strictly a religious ceremony. Most gay people don't like religion. I'm NOT a homophobe. And the argument that God made man and woman to be together and produce offspring while a man & a man can't just like a woman & woman can't. It's as easy as 2+2=4 people.

All i have to say is biden is quite dumb, and obama is really smart, because he is a community organizer.
Dont get mad at me about this next part.
I think that gays can get together and get married if they choose to, because that is their way of expressing themselves.

I addition to my earlier post please understand: the government keeps gay people who have a civil union from having the same benefits as a married couuple. If someone wants to get married just for the benefits then where has our country gone? To hell probably. ut if it's for other reasons then let the voters in your state decide. California has done this and the voters say no but pig-headed idiots keep trying to over-turn it. Does our say even matter anymore?

Exactly how many times has the voters decision been over-turned now? 2, 3? They think our opinions don't matter. We need to band together and show them we matter when we kick their sorry butts out of office next election.

Well, those people in power literally see us as to stupid to decide anything for ourselves (and I feel that at least 20% of the population actually is but that's a different matter) and probably feel that judges are completely justified in overturning any election that the progressives don't like the outcome of.

See, the problem is that liberals will say that us being against gay marriage is going against religion vs. state. Even if they didn't it would be political suicide if they did, and if they didn't. My stance on it is to let the individual states decide. I'm not saying that its right or wrong...

I think my eyes are burning from some of the liberal b.s. I saw posted in here. Mainly the people that like Obama...that should be a sin.
As for the whole gay marriage side track, I don't hate gay people, and I think for men it is not a choice but a mental defect. As for marriage, the point behind marriage way back in the day was for men to lay claim to their offspring and to share their name. I don't see it as just a religious thing but a society idea. A lot of gay people are religious to a point but they just view certain things in different ways. There are plenty of other ways to express their love and commitment to each other.
