me, I dont like obama, the only thing worse than a corrupt politician is an ambitious, carismatic, and infulential one. America dosent need Obama to think for us it needs it citizens to think for themselves. And frankly this guy scares me for this reason alone.

There's nothing scary about Obama.
I voted for him because he's going to bring REAL change to this country.
After his first 100 days in office, the economy is finally starting to look up a little.
In my opinion, people need to do research before they open their mouths, and that's true for everyone.

G0d_0f_R0ck i think it is a good thing obama one we've finally got some fresh blood in the white house he's young and from what i've seen the younger u r the more ambitious u r and i think that what we need right now is an ambitiuos inventive president Too ambitious, perhaps. Ambitious enough to spend all of the money we happen not to have and set us even further into debt. (******** yeah, green collar jobs. neutral ) And us staying in Afghanistan is sweet, too. My dad might die over there, thanks, Obama.

I voted for him because he wanted to do something about the budget.
The president has no control over the economy, but what he has proposed - the stimulus package, cutting unnecessary earmarks and programs - are a sensible step in the right direction. He's not overwhelmingly obsessed with personal glory like Bush was. I feel McCain could have been a decent president, but from the start, Obama has been focused on cleaning up the problems that have arisen over the past eight years that Bush, bless his pointy little head, was incapable or unwilling to even acknowledge.
In the end, it will be history and his ultimate results that will judge if Obama was the right choice for America. Lincoln was actively bashed during his presidency from all sides. Many people didn't like him or the changes he stood for.
Plus, Pres. Obama stands for many of the issues I do. It only makes sense that I would like the guy who I agree with on the..

Yorozuya_Harujiro I may need to check my facts, but I think Lincoln invented stuff, so that's pretty inventive right there. But honestly, Obama's victory shows that whatever was wrong with our society, someone FIXED IT. Agreed, I voted for McCain, but at the age of 28 I now realize that the presidental election is nothing but a popularity contest.

I don't exactly like him. Now, before you start claiming s**t just from that one sentence and saying something like "OhEMG j00r R@si$t lol", It's not that I don't like him because he's African-American. I don't like him because he's a socialist. Socialism is a very bad way to try and fix the economy. Everybody's going to earn the same pay, meaning that less and less people will work as hard, decreasing the income for the people who actually work to get their money, meaning that less and less people try, decreasing income even MORE until everybody stops working and the economy goes from recession to hell.

He has the power to pass or decline laws at will and can propose new laws directly to the United States Senate.

If he didn't have socialist plans, then my vote (If I were legal to do so, which I am not) would have been with him.

Let's look at it this way;
Which would you rather have;
A) Moderate Socialism,
Or,
B) Rampant, uncontrolled businesses controlling everything.
I think it'd be a welcome change to have the government controlling healthcare a bit.
It's not like Obama wants to have the government control every little thing in our lives.
Besides, he doesn't have the accent for it.

Seriously though,its great that we have a black president and all, but i'd have prefered him a republican. I don't want peoples babies being used for research. The people that need stem cell research for a cure are alive and had their chance to live. the stem cells taken from the womb didnt have a choice. What would you have chosen if you were that unborn baby? Oh wait thats right, your opinion wouldn't have mattered. biggrin how do ya like that?
Think on this: Stem cell research kills unborn children.
