Same here. I think the only reason I even tolerate Sakura now is because of Shippuden and that fact that she actually helps with SasuNaru or NaruSasu. I read this essay and it had a good point. Sakura was an enabler in helping the relationship, not really a hindrance.

Hmm... didn't she hug him from behind in the anime or something?

She did. But is was more of restrainting him. It was during the chuunin exams when the sound nin: Zaku, Dosu and Kin attacked. Sasuke had just gained the curse mark and just finished breaking Zaku's arms and were about to kill them.

Sakura 'hugged' to get him to stop. Personally, I think it was like that because:

A) Naruto was knocked out from saving Sasuke when he fought Orochimaru

B) Sakura was suppose to be shown as getting stronger and not overpowered by the boys

C) And because, we have to pretend that there's a pairing OTHER THAN Naruto and Sasuke.

Besides this isn't the only pairing we have to worry about.

In torturing myself, I went to Ship Manifesto on LJ and show idiotic reasons for pairings such as NaruHina, SasuHina and SasuIno.

NaruHina: because Neji 'supports' it. And because Naruto is nice to her like he is to every other person in the series.

SasuHina: because they are both tormenting by their families even though they have never talked or haves any interaction.

SasuIno: because Sasuke doesn't throw her off when she glomps him. Even though he does the same thing when Naruto touches him.

Part of me died and I felt my IQ drop just from looking at those. I swear anything to get your fav. characters together. I mean, so many holes and flaws that I wanted to write an anti- manifesto for those pairings. But school got in the way.

So please help ease my traumatized mind.

naruhina is okay for crack wise..but for canon no way in hell. But the fans are bent over and saying it's the only canon pairing. Kids..it makes me laugh to see how ignorant they really are.

Not to mention, but she's kind of a stalker. Most times, the people that like that pairing only because they relate with her in that kind of situation other than that, it makes no sense at all.

I know! I don't know the appeal of Marysues...but everyone just loves it. Maybe it's their own imaginary mind that every love can come true. They're all just gullible.

I think that the whole SasuSaku thing started out when people saw a pink haired happy girl "loving" a dark haired emo boy...

And the SasuNaru/NaruSasu part? Pfft, they KISSED!
(That's why my favorite character is that guy that bumped Naruto... too bad he died... emo Rest In Peace holy YAOI angel... emo We all miss you dearly.)

It was their FIRST kiss. They HELD HANDS as children. They would do ANYTHING to rescue the other.

You're not the only one.. I think some idiots will run around the sasu'saku guild screaming pathetically that sasunaru sucks.

I hate sasusaku, but I am saying that it won't work. Not that it sucks.

On the other hand, people label the kiss as comedy but not to worry. Of course, being a true fan you can totally see the chemistry. Unlike cliche pairings.

Now don't quote me on this, but I heard from a reliable source that at some point the author said that Sasuke and Naruto would be more likely to end up together than with any female in the series.
And back to the original topic, Sasuke and Sakura did not hug before he left.... He flash stepped behind her and knocked her a** out. She hugged him from behind once as someone already said, but... to me that just made her come off as a creeper... xp
