I got one from some chick the other day claiming to know me from somewhere. It was a pop up one that said something about me posting too much and that the admins needed to make sure I wasn't a bot.
I get these about once a week any more and I'm creative with what I put in them. For example:
Username: Yo momma Password: youmakemelmao
or:
Username: Vixen From Hell Password: getalife
These usually piss them off pretty good. ^__^
Also, they do this for other sites too, so be careful of that. There was one a year or so ago where they said Neopets was shutting down, and noob that I was, I went to the sign in sheet and entered my info, but realized it was a scam too late. XD
At that point I didn't know it was a bot, so I posted warnings in every forum I could and the person had so many hate comments on their profile the next day. Luckily I know better now.
Also, as much as you may love your friends, never EVER let them have your password, just in case something should happen between you two and they want some revenge. This goes for boyfriends/girlfriends. If you must have them check something for you, change the password ASAP.

I once saw a scam that had a link to a supposedly mispriced item... It was only mentionable because of the clever linkage. It was a offsite link, obviously, so the big red "THIS IS AN OFFSITE LINK" page came up. I clicked though (I knew it was a scam, but I wanted to see it), and another big red page came up, this time saying "We traced the link and it is a Gaia page." It then went to a Gaia lookalike page with an ancient Katana priced at 5G, and the login box up the top. I think I put in something like "a_stupid_newb" with password "hahahahahahahahaha". x3

Hi, if you are reading this you are being warned about another type of scam. Some people may ask if you would like to trade items for another item that ***looks*** like another item i.e: Black Scion Paint or Black Tiles mistaken for Black skin Dye flowers too. Make sure when you are trading, you take a good look at the item..

oh man....i got one that looked liked the second one while looking throught the gaia forums.....and like a dumbass i filled it out with my information then i realized it was fake and immediatley changed my password and nothing seems to be missing from my account.....so i think i got really lucky but the only reason I filled it out was because it was annoying me and it popped up on every page I went to on gaia after that, it stopped popping up but i felt like an idiot......
