Maybe more bands that dress like goths, but I doubt there'd be more goth bands. odds are both in time Well if it catches on and people start wondering about what goth really is. then there might be more goth bands

Meh. I don't see how it could really harm anything. Maybe it will be easier to find clothing in this style than others. However, part of me feels that, as I have often suspected, the fashion world is mimicking me. Very frustrating when you're trying to be a stylish anticulture.
However, I hope we can all take comfort this Oscar Wilde was quote: "Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months."

I don't really mind it too much when the world of Fashion goes goth-crazy. It happens every so often. They get bored of one thing, so they go on to something else. They'll forget about goth again for a while after this season, till next time. I actually think it's great because stores will have some lower priced gothy clothes that at least provide variety from what's already available. *shrugs*

The only good thing I can see coming out of this is less staring since we're all "in season" Since it's still designer fashion, I don't expect lower prices nor do I think the trend will spread far enough to the lower priced stores. I'd like it more if things that aren't blatantly supposed to be goth come out and it could be adapted, like more lace or capes or something. 3nodding I do like all the crosses even though they remind me of Flavor Flav.

It will filter down, just not as 'out there' stuff as on the catwalks. Everything on the catwalks trickles down eventually.

Or maybe...graveyards or something? I can see this getting all kinds of odd now that CosmoGirl has their manicured paws on it. sweatdrop

Update: I was in the mall yesterday. It's true: there's black stuff everywhere, and yes it's affordable (at least here in Canuckland). I saw one store that had clothing entirely consisting of purple and black... I stood there dumbfounded. Also, pretty much every 'club' - oriented store had at least some goth -passable clothing items. It's not so bad, really, if you can separate the cheap stuff from the quality goods. Also as an interesting side note, while browsing for jewelry in one little boutique, the store clerks kind of looked at me awestruck, because I was all... in fashion. sweatdrop Time to stock up on black stuff and crucifixes. XP
