if he uses ^B when you get close, block when he tries to use it. Then then jump above him and press vA.
if he does neutralB, throw your boomerang, ready a bomb or arrow, then launch that too

felix45 dont suck? I have no idea, I dont see how you could lose to roy, he is so slow. Roy isn't slow he has medium speed.

Arc Angel Gabriel Yoko Hino felix45 dont suck? I have no idea, I dont see how you could lose to roy, he is so slow. Roy isn't slow he has medium speed. He still sucks unless you know how to SHUFFL (Short-hop, fast-fall, l-cancel) his attacks. u definately have to be able to that, and to play as roy u just have to have a really well thought out strategy against every character, and u cant make any mistakes whit him cause it will cost u dearly wiht his bad ending times

roy has no long rang stay away from him and use other stuff

Cenafan320 Every time my friend plays me in SSBM I get my a** handed to me because I play as Link and he plays as Roy, And i never Win, I come close, but he continues to do that flaming sword thing. I can't seem to win, even with my best moves, he seems to stop my sniping, and smash me off the map, even If I'm Metal!!! instead of using arrows which in my opinion are only useful when ur opponent is about to fall and hit the groundin front of u master using your bombs as roy ur opponents probably likes to use the counter move and sometimes when roy tries to counter bombs then he slashes them and they blow up in his face but like u said ur friends master using roy so he probably wont counter them but try and dodge them so when u throw a bomb get ready to attack when he dodges wink
