I've seen all the episodes, and read all the manga up to the recent chapter. I'm waiting for the anime and manga to be released in Ireland. I do hope the dub is good. =)

I personally can't wait for the English DVDs to come out so I can purchase them. If the dub is bad, then so be it, I'll watch the Japanese track, though I don't think Vic is as horrible as some people make him out to be ... I prefer the anime to the manga, honestly.

Yeah, I dislike how vehement people were about casting Vic before they'd even heard him doing it. Maybe it'll be exactly the same as Ed from FMA -- take that as you will -- but no matter what, at least the guy's an actor, he can actually emote and deliver his lines with some realism. How many horrible dubs have we seen where the kid reads his lines like he's reciting names from the phone book?

IDK, I don't want to get in a fight about it again, but people get way too wrapped up in these things. It's refreshing to see someone being mature about it. Go you. XD

As for the manga, I also think the art is the show is much better, but then again, the manga's taken some interesting romantic turns lately...

I've purchased the manga up to volume 11 (me thinks) and am loving it so far. I have finished watching the anime and so far I prefer the anime. I am going to try to read some scanlations to find these interesting emotional twists you are all hinting at so I can have a better picture. ^^ The only thing is I didn't really like the ending to the anime... I don't know it just kinda seemed a bit sudden and the plot was kinda rushed. The art totally made up for it though. ^^

My favourite character is Kyoya. I aspire to be similar to him. heart Though I find I have the most similarities, unfortuneately or fortunately depending how you see it, with Tamaki. I'm like a total snob but I really don't mean to be like that! It's not that I don't like commoners, they're just different to me (the scene where the club visit Haruhi's home is so true blaugh ). I am almost always happy. Luckily I don't totally ALWAYS flirt with everyone... that would cause trouble. heart

I think the best thing about the story though, as many people before have already said, is the fact that Haruhi is so different to the normal female lead. She has odd views and is very matter of fact. It's refreshing from the usual.
