lilchibiusa This is kind of funny but also kind of bad because it hits so close to home. My dad and I went to my mom's school to visit for a few minutes because it is the first week of school. I ran some copies of sheets that I will need for my student teaching. On the way back, one of my mom's teacher friends rode with us. My dad was looking at the sheets that I had copied when he came across a sheet about mammals. There was a picture of a dog on it. My dad: "Dogs aren't mammals!" ...silence... Then everyone in the car was laughing except for my dad! blaugh Yeah.... say that to a car full of teachers... rofl Ummmm...... No comment.

Ummm Mallow was that sarcasm? sweatdrop
Because technically speaking... dogs are mammals, in the canine family.
Just like cats are mammals in the feline family.
........
Mammal = Any warm blooded creature, that bares live young (the only exception being the platypus, which is the only known mammal that lays eggs) and feeds their young milk.

Yeah, I know him. And trust me when I say that this is not unusual. Hey Chibi, remember the 'Indian Blessing' incident? lol

lilchibiusa O... watagoo... siam... Oh what a goose I am... xd Get this people! I'm having Sunday lunch with her family, and I tell them that I want to teach them an old 'Indian Blessing'. I tell them to repeat after me, and say, "Owah... Tagoo... Siam." Chibi, her mom and her brother all crack up, and her dad says, "What's so funny?" stare xd

As I remember it... My brother laughed as soon as you said it. Then my mom stopped half way. Then my dad and I were sitting there wondering why people were laughing. I eventually got it. I had to explain it to my dad.

I had to explain it to my dad. But at least you got it, and in less than five seconds! He didn't get it at all.

Moving on... sweatdrop I saw a horrendous error in a first grade reading book today. It was a story about a dog named "Rags." Here is how the bad line went.
"My dog Rags he loves to play." xp
And after teachers go to so much trouble to teach children not to put a pronoun after a proper noun! Why couldn't it have been...
"My dog Rags loves to play." crying
Just for the record, this was in Open Court reading.

By the Spirits! Even the teachers are stupid these days! Chibi must be one of the few who actually know what they are talking about. Or, at least, she's one of few who really cares.

evil I've had it with my downstairs neighbors.... scream Those jerks tore apart MY waterheater, that the landlord just fixed Wednesday... thinking it was theirs, so they could complain about the apartment... stupid #!%#@$#$@@#!@@!#$!@(!!!!!!!!!..................
We've had nothing but BAD LUCK since they moved in.... they broke my driverside rear view mirror, throwing walnuts, then had the nerve to claim that the storm did it..... first of all my van was parked facing the direction the wind was blowing from, which means the mirror that was broken was closer to the building, second... the walnut tree is across the street from our apartment building, my van was parked DIRECTLY across from it, facing South, while the wind was blowing in a Northeast direction... third... there is no way in hell, a wind blowing the oposite direction at 45mph with gusts up to 60 could have blown a walnut the oposite direction with enough force to wedge pieces of the green outter casing between the top of my mirror and the frame.... I know there are a few of us here that are in college or have gone to college at one point... the laws of physics and gravity both prove that there is no way the wind could have done that... besides, we saw their 15 and 17 yr old boys throwing the walnuts at the building durring the windstorm... they took off in a hurry for who knows what reason... well we found out the next day... but in any case they LIED... I hate stupid people... especially making up a lie that defies the laws of physics and gravity.. crying (Sorry about the rant... had to get it off my chest... been making me insane...)
