But what actually really makes me happy about this style is that you can wear net tights without looking trashy XDDD
Since I only own beige and white net tights XP

blackrose11 Amanikitty JessieKateRose I've always loved Hime Gyaru hair.. it must take forever to do. I'm too too big on lightening your hair and tanning your skin, though. -C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...-
Even though it's popular, you don't have to lighten your hair color for himegal. Some Japanese himegyaru have their naturally black hair or dark brown hair. And also, tanning isn't really a must for himegal. If anything they'd just put on makeup or tanning makeup to give them a little bit of that golden look in their skin.
-...quand le soleil sera couché dans ton âme froide.- Yeah I actually debated because I still have to dye my hair red (i blame current events TT3TT which is kinda sad at this point). And I looked up more pictures and I did see a few burnettes which kinda makes it just as cute. My mom actually played with my hair a few weeks ago making it hime gyaru because supposivelyl she was sooooo into POOFING hair like that when she was a teen ._o ha ha ha good for me i guess XP Well I've also seen some of the gyarus with no or very little tan. Isn't it another type of gal that has darker skin type. From what I hear gyarus are the lighter kind of gals... generally... I might be wrong... As far as I know it depends on the style they're going for, not so much how dark they put the tan. There are definitely some gals who put their skin really dark but still rocks the whole himegal look. Especially since the way they do (mostly eye) makeup and hairstyling really determines the style along with whatever they wear. Like Manba usually have the distinct panda-makeup.

@blackrose11 ~ Thanks for clearing that up. I had no idea there were so many substyles to lolita!
@Amanikitty ~ Sorry about the whole "country" thing; that's how it seemed to me.

I dunno, speaking that they take most of their s**t from the Western Culture, I'm sure others can do it if they really tried.
There are some gorgeous Western himegyaru.

LOL I was thinking more of 10sugars or someone else, but okay. xD;
But really, quite a lot of girls on the Himegyaru community got most of the style together.

Yeah this one guy on the japan fashion guild was like hime gyarus are the ugliest of the kogals and then goes on saying that he got use to the manba style and im like er... hime gyarus are out there but its not like OUT THERE... I think Hime gyarus are a bit more strict on their style than the other gals... but i might just be wrong too... But it is all about how everyone puts themselves together smile

Gyaru in general is strict, it's like lolita; you're going to get ostracized if you don't know your stuff and you act like you know. Really, the other day I was speaking to the leader of the Philly-area gyaru-circle and she said a couple of the regulars would like the gal-community to be organized like the livejournal lolita community.

@blackrose: I can't imagine how ANYONE likes manba. It's about the most ugly thing I've ever seen in my life, in my opinion. My art teacher asked us to draw a collage of things that scare me and guess what was largest on the page? @_@ And I've heard they don't BATHE? (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure.)

That's a rumor by those who don't like gals. If one didn't wash, then they didn't wash, but it's not some kind of code with the rest of the manba.

I love Hime Gyarus. They're style is absolutely adorable. But i prefer sweet lolita hair to that. Hime Gyaus hair is too puffy but it is really cute. :3

Hmmm you might have to be more specific when you say sweet loli hair ^^lll because i cant just stick to one hairstyle smile Actually it's their uber poofy hair that makes this style so recognizable.

It would be great if it were... xD Bigger = moar dramu. Himegyaru, I like best how it's small now, though if anything bad goes down it sticks out like a sore thumb. I also wish they didn't have the posting restriction they have. It's sort of the same with the other gal communities as well, though the thing is that drama is usually in the inner-circle rather than out in the open and drawn attention to like the lolita community and it's corresponding wank community. I think the Gyaru community in general should flourish, I've heard from some local gals that I speak to online that they really like how the EGL community is structured and stuff. I honestly think that some of the event-cirs should plan more smaller events and meetups and stuff, though.
