[Sooorry! Had a huge stock report to write and hand in for yesterday...Last week of classes now, though. :3 (By the way, Wobin, what exactly is the seating arrangement of the three of them? It sounds like both of them sit on Emily's left...?)]
Naturally, Max laughed at how she had reacted. Also naturally, Emily's face turned a bit red once again, but it faded as he sat down. From the look of it, he was taking his homework out. Then he sprung another of his questions that were clearly jokes...at least, that's how she interpreted them. She smiled slightly and turned a little in her seat to face him, so talking would be easier. "Who wouldn't miss you? You can actually make this class fun sometimes," she said with a grin, chuckling a moment afterwards. "I just didn't want to see you get in trouble with the teacher for being late." A thoughtful expression crossed her face, and the grin widened. "Though, it probably would have been entertaining to hear your reasons for it."

((No worries. And you misread a bit: Emily is on Elyssa's left. Max is on Emily's left...so: Max Emily Elyssa <---in areal view xD )) Max grinned at Emily's response - though he knew she was just playing along with the joke. She certainly hadn't missed him for any other reason than that, and he knew it, even if he hoped she had. With a air of mock-egotism, he shrugged and made an arrogant face, "What can I say? I'm just so great at annoying he hell out of Gaston." To accent his point, Max put his feet up on the desk and leaned back. With one of his hands he began to count down with his fingers:
3.
2.
1.
"Maxwell Blaire!" Their teacher said loudly - he never called him Max - as he crossed his arms. "Class has started and this is not your house! Feet down and pay attention! And stop talking!" Max dropped back down and chuckled.
"God, that man hates me. You should probably get 'Lyssa up."
---
Nate was sketching - not really feeling like paying much attention. From his sketch pad, the faces of his friends was just emerging, Max and Emily poking fun at each other as always with Elyssa nearby, watching with an amused expression. Using his left thumb, Nate deftly smudged a line to create the right sort of shadows before using his pencil to keep going.

Wes dashed through the halls, probably looking like a complete fool. It seemed as if everything was against him. Alarm clock broke. Late bus. Wrong class, twice. He reached the right class this time and entered, immediately apologizing for his lateness. He picked the only open chair and ran a hand through his hair. He pulled off his glasses and rubbed them slightly before he stared up at the board. Man, what else can go wrong?

Elyssa didn't need Emily to wake her up, Mr. Gaston's yelling at Wesley was enough on it's own. With a groan she moved her head and looked at the unfortunate soul. "Mr. Topper," He began, his voice dangerously even as he spoke the words, accenting the syllables of Mr. "Mr. Topper, it has been a week since school has started, is it really that difficult to find the classroom?" Elyssa sat up and tried to look as though she hadn't been asleep for the past few minutes. Mr. Gaston was headed her way, since Wes was sitting behind her - near James. Luckily for her, he was much to worked up over Max's idiocy and Wes's lateness to notice her.
---
James did his best to stifle a laugh as Wes barged into the room. He was tempted to kick his classmate's chair out from under him as he went to sit, but decided against it - the poor guy hadn't made it to class before Max's stunt and he was in for enough as it was. "Way. To. Go." James muttered under his breath, shaking his head. A part of him felt bad for the guy, but mostly he found the whole thing rather comical.

Wes sighed as he heard James, but he didn't pay attention to him. If you pay attention to him, He'll annoy you more. He replaced his glasses back on his face, staring up at the back of Elyssa's head. He quietly pulled out his notebook and started to doodle in it. It's not like the teacher will teach me something I don't know. He leaned forward slightly to whisper to Elyssa, not like they talked much, "So what did I miss?"

Elyssa didn't really know Wesley that well. He was, for one thing, a junior while she was a sophomore. All the same as he leaned up to ask what had happened before his arrival she leaned back so as to be able to whisper her answer without getting caught. "Nothing really. I mean...I was asleep before that, but I know he got mad at Max...again..." Elyssa grinned and glanced back at him. "So, if it helps any, he was already worked up, you didn't piss him off that much by yourself." That said, she reached into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone which had just vibrated. Flipping it open she found a message from Nate containing a photo of the sketch he was making. Leaning over, she put the phone in Emily's lap when Gaston wasn't looking and turned back to Wes. "So, did you really get lost or just running late?"

Wes chuckle slightly as he whispered back, "What didn't go wrong is what you should ask. Everything just seemed to be against me today." He looked back up, to see if the teacher was looking their way before continuing, "Alarm broke, bus was late, my stupid sense of direction got me in two different wrong classes. It's just not my day today."

Elyssa put a hand over her mouth and hung her head in an attempt not to laugh at her classmate's misfortune. From the corner of her eye she could see that Max was wondering what in hell she was doing, so she waved it off to let him know she was fine. When she felt she was alright, she looked back up and jotted something from her teacher's notes down before leaning back again. "Well gee, you've just got it all going for you, don't you?"

Wes sighed and took some more notes before returning Elyssa comment. "Yeah, I have the world on a silver platter," Wes said sarcasticly. He chew on the end of his pencil, deep in thought. "So what's new?"

[SCHOOL'S OUT! *does a dance*]
Emily laughed quietly as Max was shouted at by the teacher, but quickly contained the sound as Mr. Gaston shot a look her way. Luckily, he seemed to prefer yelling at Max and Wesley - who had just dashed in, apologizing for being late. She felt a bit sorry for Wesley, who looked fairly worn out already, but Max had it coming, and had purposely antagonized the teacher for the reaction. She found it very amusing, but it was also a good reason to not pity him.
He mentioned waking Elyssa up, but the other girl had already sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes by the time Wesley made it to a seat. Emily caught a bit of the conversation between Elyssa and Wesley - after all, they did sit next to each other, so it was hard not to - but soon turned her attention to the phone slipped into her lap. She smiled at the photo of the sketch that, likely, Nate was in the process of drawing, then carefully passed the phone back to Elyssa when Mr. Gaston wasn't looking. All she needed was to get caught with a phone out; that would complicate things if word got out to her parents.
Gaston had already started teaching by that point, and Emily did make sure to write down a good majority of the notes as they were put up on the board. Not only would she need it to study with, after all, but she'd likely have to lend it to someone else - probably Max, at this rate - when it came time to take a test on the material. She noticed as she wrote that Elyssa and Wesley were still holding their conversation, but didn't consider joining in; after all, that would require leaning over in order to include two desks, rather than just one, which would be difficult to do without the teacher noticing. On top of that, it simply wasn't her business.

((WOOOOT!!!!!! xD *dances with*)) "What was on the phone?" Max asked Emily as he jotted down probably a fourth of the notes on the board. He wasn't really a bad student, but there was a mutual hatred between Gaston and him. It was sort of a ridiculous retaliation on his part to not pay much attention. The margins of his lined paper already featured scribbles of various sizes and density where had gotten bored. Class took much to long for his tastes...
---
Elyssa grinned and silently took the phone back from Emily, sending a quick reply to Nate that it looked excellent so far. She put the phone in her pocket where she would feel it should he reply again. It was probably silly, but she missed him already, hating to be away from him for very long in any situation. "Seems that way." She whispered jokingly to Wesley. "Nothing really, actually. I'm going out for dinner with my parents tonight." Elyssa smiled at the thought: it had been exactly 3 years ago that Terri and Patrick Sanders had adopted her, it was almost like her birthday!

[[Prom tomorrow~, and graduation in a week~.]
"A picture Nate's drawing. It's pretty good, even though it's not finished yet," Emily responded with a grin, glancing over at Max as she spoke. She could tell that he wasn't writing most of the notes down, which simply furthered her efforts to get them for a later point, but she couldn't help but find it funny. "You're learning a lot, I see," she couldn't help but tease lightly.

((How was prom? And graduation is tomorrow?))
Max nodded. "I thought I saw him sketching yesterday..." He shrugged and leaned back. "Everything that guy draws is good, I'm going to kill him for his talent." The boy sat back up as she spoke directly to him once more and glanced over with a wicked sort of grin. "I am learning a lot. I'm learning what it feels like to be a bad student for once." He chuckled slightly - honestly he was surprised Emily hadn't scolded him for not taking down the notes. But then, he wasn't like this in every glass - just Gaston's.
((Where did Wes go? xD))
