We got a 2+ average this year, and everyone was kinda pissed because we got straight 1's last year. We did get to listen to all the band's though, because our school hosted it.

Concert band: Superior. Jazz ensemble: Superior. Symphonic band: Superior. Wind Ensemble: Excellent. All are good markings compared to last year.

i have no idea ... i love all these concerty things, but here in australia we have gold, silver, bronze or *cough* 'participation'.
my band is fairly awesome, and we normally get golds - this year we're in A grade, so i reckon we'll do well.

Heh one of the middle schools that feeds into our highschool, was told that they weren't allowed to compete because they played too far beyond the middle school level....(I didnt go there.............i moved here)

if we were to get anything other than a 1....*shudders*....death by our directors would be eminent.... burning_eyes

I remember in middle school...My band teacher tried to freak us out, saying "It fits 250 people!" And he kept bragggiinngggg. -.- But we got straight ones! =3

MinorHeaven Two is faliure. Only a one is acceptable. TOTAL AGREEMENT. we have 3 Jazz bands and 3 concert bands at our school. only the absolute lowest bands are allowed to get 2s. everyone else must be superior.

My middle school's combined 7th and 8th grade band got a 2 at our district festival , which was a big improvement from the previous year when we got a four razz
