Just your general bumps and bruises for me. But there was this one time during a practice where the guard was just practicing by ourselves inside the band room (our guard was very small.... including me, only five people. We didn't even have an instructor.) I don't even remember what the hell I was doing, but I messed up pretty bad, and the flag hit the floor and the other end rebounded really fast and hit me full on in the face. I was so shocked that I had to pause for a few moments before catching up with everyone. Luckily, I didn't get a bruise, but I felt slightly disoriented for the rest of practice.

And then there was another time when I bruised the base of my right thumb really badly, (probably bruising the bone too) and it sucked to spin for a while, but it healed after a few days.

My freshmen year during band camp I tripped over a trumpet case and sprained my ankle and was out like for the rest of band camp and had to wear an aircast the rest of that season and then now I'm in my junior year and that same ankle that I've sprained from that very injury has a cist, a bruised bone and a torn ligament. It never healed fully and I've been keeping it agitated and so it still hurts like all the time and I have to wear a boot when I'm not doing guard and an ankle wrap when I am doing guard. It sucks.

I was standing next to my friend Kyle and my other friend Zach. Zach is in gaurd and drill team. Kyle is my "marching mate" as we call them (the people directly next to each other in order). Kyle and I were playing our cadance SUPER SUPER FAST: About 3x the normal bpm. At the same time, Zach tried to keep up and, of course, failing rather badly. I felt the pain crash on my head, and I ended up getting 6 staples.

this didnt happen to me but one of the girls in guard with me was doning doing this move where she takes the saber and flips it under her arm while holding hand with another girl doing the same thing and the saber came about and cut straight though her lip she needed like 6 stiches.

i think my worst injury was losing my toe nail from my rifle. i was tossing a triple and i didn't catch it and it landed on my toe making it bleed under the toe nail. i ended up having to poke a hole in my toe nail later that night because it hurt. i had to relive some of the pressure. other that that, my sabre has cut me a few times, and i've had the normal bumps and bruises.

ok so like i was bass drum#1 this year and i have bass2 to the right(behind) and quad to the right(front) and the guard had to come through both sides to me, well when they came through they both bumped me and one hit me in the face and the other hit me on the back of my head! i got such a quadrupel head ache

I had a rifle solo in indoor last year, which was my first indoor season, in which I was supposed to toss a quad and then catch it under my leg.
I was doing it during practice repeatedly and catching it solid, but then I misjudged its flight and it smashed into my fingers

I blew it off as a bad bruise and preformed the rest of the season, unable to bend my middle finger and didn't get it checked out until a month after championships.
Turns out it was broken the entire time. 4laugh Oops!

Since I never went to get it set, it healed kind of funny and now it has a permanent swelling on the top joint sweatdrop

Good news is I have to do 5's now instead of quads! (Not sure how that's good for my hands) 3nodding

My first year I fractured my elbow.
Now my senior year was the interesting one. I injured my ankle during TKD and tried to continue to practice in guard. Needless to say I ended up on crutches for 2 weeks. Toward the end we were practicing inside. For some reason they made us not wear any shoes. I have strong feet with thick skin because of TKD. But during this practice the top MIDDLE of my foot SPLIT OPEN. The thick skin was sliced right down the center. I could not tear the skin off. (Though I tried). It was the strangest oddest injury ever. Eventually it tore itself off. And GOD was it painful. And during set up for a competition one of our GENIUS new members decided I was to far away to hand me my rifle. So she THROWS it at my knee and hits it dead on. stressed

the worse i have done was last Friday right before try-outs. I had re-sraprained my wrist then i was practicing rifle. I trough a triple really low but were suposed to. Then i caught it with my left hand but it smung around and hit my bad wrist. The swelling was double the size of my wrist and its still brused..
