Kals is questing again! It cracks me up that the majority of us who are running windows don't have the taskbar in the traditional location. XD
Wen I allow explorer to run, my taskbar is located on the right side of the screen like ladi's but not as wide. I only allow my quicklaunch bar to be 2 icons wide, and my system tray to be 3 icons wide. Check sig for details!

This is my current desktop. Before that was a photo of my bunny, then one of my dogs, then of Dark from D.N. Angel, and on occasion I'll use the preset ones. As for the set up, I like the generic windows PC layout. I am flexible and can use other layouts with ease, I'm just partial to the traditional layout on my machine.

It's just more convenient to have the task bar on the top for me. Like everything that I'd need to get to is on the top. And I have my two icons on the bottlom because occasionally I leave firefox just small enough that they show, just in case I need them while browsing the interwebs.

Seeing's as I'm a horrible horrible neat freak when it comes to my computer (Ever game is installed into a "Games" folder and all programs in a "Programs" folder in C:/) I like to have as little as possible when it comes to what's on my desktop. I think I currently have a Super Smash Brothers Brawl desktop up. 3 folders on my desk top, my computer and recycle bin shortcuts, then all along the right side of my screen shortcuts to the games I play most (Crysis, TimeShift, Bioshock, Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, Black&White 2, Gears of War, C&C 3, and Universe at War)
I like to keep it really simple and clutter free so I don't have to go through a million folders to find what I'm looking for, though I need to do some serious organizing on my external harddrive right now. All my s**t is just kind of everywhere in that damn thing = /
No images of my desktop right now, I'll see if I can get one up in the next day or so so you can see how the Pancake handles his desktop.
That's just my main computer though.
My linux computer is incredibly neat too, but is very very shiny themed.
Then I have a Windows 95 computer also, with a bunch of old DOS games on it.
And my final computer is another XP one which is purely for test purposes. See how certain hardware and software changes affect a computer, see what certain viruses do, and all that fun stuff...
Like I said... I'm a neat freak so all my stuff is REALLY organized on my computers.

Kalstolyn Kals is questing again!yeah me too, Pancake. My roommate laughs at me for sorting the file server. Check sig for details! I don't see why they'd laugh. Having a highly organized system is MUCH more efficient than just letting everything go wherever. Hell, I even have all my porn organized... Yeah, I'm that sad of a person. Still though, my parents get pissed because I'll sometimes have all four of my computers running at the same time to check certain things or transfer s**t from one to another, but hey, they just don't understand my needs as a computer nerd...

I'm going through another clutter phase. I really should go through and organize all that crap.
