right now there's 8 give or take. If we have more and theres someone that plays a secondary instrument they're usually told to play their secondary or the flutes come off too strong. Otherwise there would probably be more then that sweatdrop

We have 4 flute players in our band, 2 of them State level, but the two that are state level play the saxophone (myself included) It's pretty confusing.

Three out of our nine people play flute. They're the largest section! surprised

We have 5 at my college, and that's enough for me. XD
We had 10 or so at my high school.

it must be awesome to play bassoon... we've only got two orchestral instruments in our band... one's an oboe and ones a bass...its boring.. anyways, i think we have 14 flutes..

Sasuke_Needs_To_Die My band has had at least the maximum of 5 in all the years I've played, and I've been playing for 7 years. I think that's horrible! crying There should be more flutes and definently guys who play flutes because a flute is not a sissy instrument. domokun I totally agree dude i mean people need to stop thinking, this instrument is for guys, and this one for girls its stupid

I play the trumpet and brass and woodwind are taught seperate at our school but its somewhere between twenty and seventy. Maybe more, we have a large band.

I belong to two bands; both community bands. One of them has 4 and the other has 4 also, including me ( I switch instruments ). They're not really big bands though.

Like 7. They are all soooo annoying. They have really annoying voices and i like want to shove a flute up their asses.

this past marching season we only had 8 because i did bass drum instead of flute [and it sounded as if we only had one flute player,
if any in the whole band because they didnt play loud enough during
the show]
but now during concert season we have 9 and then me on pic. ^.^

last year we had ten flutes now theres only six cause everyone is in symphonic band now and we have one guy flute...but he is gay though and he's cute too T.T
