This is my second year on cymbals, and I'm the only vet on our line so it's interesting. Some kid beat up my cymbals during outdoor though, so they keep inverting.

last year, I was in the pit and I played the marimba. I got the marimba when someone got out of DL and I got swiched, so I was pretty excited to not play aux instruments =D. This year, I got tenors, which is what I wanted to get ever since I was in 8th grade XD. Next year, I'm going to try out for section leader, becuase my section leader is a senior, so I'm the only one left 3nodding

Last year I was Bass 1. ;D And it rocked. But it was easy and I really wanted to play quints. So that's what I'm doing now! And I would rather go back to bass drum then play the snare.

I'm 1st bass too! (and soon-to-be section leader cause our snares are incompetent xd ) I was on bass 1 freshman year and last years we had one giant pit (no drumline) and I rocked out on all the big a** drums! I've always wanted to play tenors though, like since I first saw a marching band in a parade when i was like 3 haha I probably could play them too, if our drumline wasn't so small. (2 snare, 3 bass) It makes me sad just thinking about it crying

I've been 1st snare on my freshmen and sophmore years, but the story is:
This new Freshmen is great on the snare, so on Juries, I decided to give him my spot of 1st Snare.
So now I'm playing 5th Bass.

i play bass (the biggest of four). this is my third year on it and unfortunately my last. i played cymbals my freshman year. I wish the best of luck to all of you guys out there. Freshman, listen to your Seniors and learn from them, you'll be there sooner than you know it. Seniors, don't go too hard on the underclassmen, they know not what they do.
