If you count them as books (I know some people are soo picky about that) then the Sandman series by Gaiman, my boyfriend loaned them to me. Now I'm all lusting after Morpheus- he's a sexeh Biatch. Which is weird, I'm not much for pale guys.
Other than that when I'm not reading text books I'm working on the novel I'm writing. Quality, well it's not much. But I have 80 pages and so many characters I feel like Victor Hugo. The story is about my screen name sake.

Did you know they're making a movie based on Death?

I absolutely adore Death. Delirium's good, but I still love Death and Dream best.
Did you read "A Game of You?" it has one of my favorite scenes, when Wanda and Death meet up.
A movie based on Death will either rock me socks or struggle to meet expectations. Any rumor on who's directing it? And if Knightly gets cast as Death I will throw a tantrum of emo proportions. Though I think Rachel Weisz could pull off Death.

Though I think Rachel Weisz could pull off Death. Yep, I've read all of the Sandman and the Death miniseries. Apparently, the Death movie will be based on Death: The High Cost of Living. And it will be directed by none other than Neil Gaiman himself. When asked why he was going to direct it, he replied, "Mostly just because it's really dear my heart. If anyone's going to f*ck it up, I'd rather it be me." As for who could play Death... I really have no idea. How about Zooey Deschanel? I think with the right make-up, she could probably pull it off. Imagine her, dressed as Death: http://www.zooeydeschanelfan.com/picture/Zooey-Deschanel-10.jpg http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/4052/Events/4052/ZooeyDesch_Caulf_7032366_400.jpg http://www.zooeydeschanelfan.com/picture/Zooey-Deschanel-7.jpg And I would die if they cast Knightly as Death. She always has this hollow, vacant look on her face, especially when she smiles. That's not how I imagine Death at all.

Ms. Deschanel would be prime! I agree with you about Knightly. That and any actress who is overly "DIVA" would kill the role of death. Despite how important Death is she always came across as humble in the comics. I think if Gaiman's directing then hopefully his hand will be in the casting cookie jar. I have faith Gaiman will choose the best girl for the job-- unlike some Hollywood flops who go for the "popular" actresses. Even good actresses and actors don't always fit well with the roles their assigned.

Books are all words and you can make the picture look like what ever you want in your own mind, where as graphic novels, manga, or comic books, draw the picture for you and you kind of go along with it. Dont get me wrong, I love them both but I tend to find myself reading more books then manga, as I just like my pictures more when they are drawn by me in my own mind.

Dont get me wrong, I love them both but I tend to find myself reading more books then manga, as I just like my pictures more when they are drawn by me in my own mind. Why wouldn't they count as books? If you have a children's book with pictures you still count it as a book (albeit a simplistic one). Graphic Novels are essentially the same, just with a more intricate and adult story. I personally have come to prefer Graphic Novels over standard novels for a variety of reasons. I think Graphic Novels offer a better insight into what the author is trying to portray as the setting and appearance. There is also very often a small side story or an action going on in the pictures that couldn't be easily put into words alone. The pictures can also be used to explain something in one panel that would take forever in words. Imagine if Victor Hugo had simply drawn a picture of the Parisian sewer system rather than dedicating a fairly large chapter of Les Miserables to it. I'd say that Graphic Novels and Manga are books augmented with pictures, but still the same form of art. Maybe a permutation of that art, but the same in essence. Oh, and I'm just getting into a series by the name of HellBlazer (if you've seen Constantine, the movie is loosely based on this series)
