Let's see... we have a crazy hat day one day during summer band. One day, the band was really quite so one of the band directors had a kid yell "I'm Awake" every 5 mins, and the band had to reply "I'm Alive." Then there's the baritone playing the mexican hat dance when we do this little diamond exercise. Oh, then when we practice our slides, every time we turn our upper body, everybody yells "HUH". Then theres always the "this is how you take a slurp and burp" routine where the band director has two or three students show us how to race to the sideline and chug down a sip of water then run back.... this year, three guys went to the coolers and dumped the ice cold water on them... then one of them fell. xd

Yeah our band is pretty crazy...we have to sing the super amn theme while stretching and we do palodies before every practice...we also have a moto "early is on time and on time is late" so anyone "late" has to run laps...we also have a last cheer thing for the end of each practice and before compotitions...it's pretty fun...we also have a tradition of all the boys take of their shirts for the last run through of the whole season..and we have an initiation that we totally freak the freshman about where we say that they are going to get wet and have to wear a bathing suit when in the end we sit in a circle and talk about the season...then we have cake!!!! that's our band...ha ha ha rofl

Let's see what our crazy band does...
1) Band camp, during August, we have 2 weeks of rehearsals and then we perform at a BBQ show for our parents.
2) Unity Night, where we initiate the Freshmen, do a scavenger hunt, play games, and then at midnight we all dress in black and go play capture the flag outside, (we spend the night at the school)
3) Our Happy Dance! We do it every practice, and before competitions
4) Our dismissal, we just dismiss in a REALLY loud way
5) The Tuba Dance, last year we had 4 tubas, and every football game they'd go down in front of the stadium and do a dance, everyone in the stands would get up and dance while they play
6) We sing our shows on the buses
7) We sing our show while we march, or we "tut" it sometimes, that way we have to count harder through the long notes
cool We do drill downs every so often, and the winner gets a large Blizzard of their choice from the instructor the next day at rehearsal
9) Our sections all also have their own crazy traditions...some are quite freaky, but others are just hilarious
I love our band, its so much fun, we are such a close family!

Here's a wierd one for you;
Last week of band camp (we have it for a month); were working on the last piece of the opener, and the whole girls' track team or some other team like that run right through us. We were pissed. Hell I've never seen a group of seniors carrying suzaphone run faster. 'While', while playing the 'Jaws' theme.

We don't have extreme discipline in our band. If we did, we'd be doing high mark time for . . . a very long time. but because of the lack of, we have a lot of weird things to do in practice.
