Dafthank The teachers get to dress up at my school on halloween as well as the students, so I have some time to put something cool together. As for trick or treaters, I usually end up eating all the candy, and my neighborhood is "No soliciting." Bummer.
So you're a teacher? What kind of school do you teach at? I ask because I hope to start teaching high school next fall, after working as a sub for a little while. smile
And "no soliciting" applies to trick-or-treaters too in your neighborhood? Seriously? I'd hardly consider an 8-year-old asking for candy once a year as soliciting. That's lame.

Throwing a party at my new appartment on my favorite holiday!!! Last year I dressed up as Jack Sparrow, but not only did I propose to it, but its got the costume in storage back home.

I'll be attending two 'parties' for Halloween. They're both on the 27th and I'm wearing the same costume for both. The first one is a Halloween/Housewarming party at my boyfriend's aunt's house and the second is the costume shindig at the bar.
As for the costume itself I'm drawing a blank. I'm having a hard time finding a decent packaged costume in my size. All the good ones are taken!
Last night I came up with the idea to do something along the lines of a pop star - ripped up mismatched clothing, wild hair, makeup smeared and of course the oversized sunglasses. I am thinking about getting a harness thinger and putting a baby doll in it upside down.
No matter what I end up 'being' I shall take pictures and report back here (or somewhere in the guild) after my parties!

I can't wait!!! I love halloween! It's my favorite holiday EVER!!!
I haven't decided what I want to be yet, which distresses me...I usually know ahead of time.
But I was thinking about something, punk-ish (cause they are easy to throw together, tee-hee)...but something very "panic of the disco" esqu. Top hat, heavy make-up, leather skirt and tuxedo top...somthing like that.

I will be dressing up as a purple fairy. I'm really excited this year, because this is the first time in about 8 or 9 years that I haven't had to wear the same costume, which is black and I either dress up as a witch or vampire or combination of the two.
No, this year, I'll be a purple fairy. I'm going all out for this costume, slowly getting everything together. Plus, at the library where I work, the employees dress up, too. It's going to be awesome. biggrin
I think candy will be passed out from our house this year. Plus, there's the Gaia Halloween event I'll be participating in.

I'm probably going to my roommate from freshman year's birthday party which is on Halloween and it's a costume party...but I have no ideas as for a costume. crying
I'm kinda on the poor side of life right now. Any ideas? I like doing creative/wacky things...I was Mary Poppins last year and that was a big hit.

Tactical gear worked well last year. Popular with the ladies too, seeing as how it's nothing but pockets and compartments while chances are most of their costumes don't have any. It may make a comeback this year.

well, i started piecing together stuff for the prostitute costume, and i must say, it looks rediculous! i think it's gonna be hilarious. hopefully i'll be able to get some good pics of it.

I am going to a Halloween party thrown by my boyfriends work and the theme is Pirates and Gilligan's Island.
My boyfriend is going as zombie style pirate and I'm going as a regular looking pirate.
Well thats not actually decided yet, I may try to do something with make up so that we match a little better. Maybe will be going as zombie captain (me) and her first mate lol.
We may even have a chance to win some of the costume contest going on, I'd want to win best couple of course lol.
