Nightflame heard the cat's voice.
It was full of fear and bits of defiance.
The land was misty and Nightflame's dark coat blended in.
He narrowed his eyes. His long claws,
unsheathed. Yet, he did not approach the cat.
He hid in the shadows... he hid in the mist.
Undetectable...

  One's pride is like a raging fire...__________________________________________________________
Dragonfire listened carefully for a response, but all she could hear was the echo of her own voice yelling back at her from the empty mist. her ears flattened and she unsheathed her claws. her tail whipped back and forth.] Someone is out there... [She tried to catch a sent but all she could smell was the blood of her last opponent. She fought to stand, spilling more blood as she struggled. when she was up she wobbled and caught her balance against a tree. her golden eyes pierced the fog like searchlights out at sea. she remind silent except for her heavy breathing.]
"I know you are there! are you friend or foe! Speak up if you mean peace, if you are my enemy than show yourself and fight like a warrior!" [She blindly roared out into the mist and all that was hidden in it.] Relax Dragonfire, you have fought in this condition before, you should be just fine, as long as it is not one of those monsters...

((Hmmm I've got to get Lightsound more interactive with this clan. I guess I never found an entrance. I know that she has a sibling in Nightclan (Marcy) who's become more active than her. I would say I have writers block but I don't think I do. I just don't know how to bring her in a little more boldly.

Freezeshadow I'm tired of being what you want me to be.
Feeling so faithless lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes
Every step that I take is another mistake to you...
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.
Can't you see that you're smothering me
Holding too tightly afraid to lose control... &#######################################& [Freezeshadow padded out of the medicine cat's den and looked around the clearing.] All is quiet...to quiet... [Freezeshadow could smell the faint scent of blood and a unfimiliar scent on the breeze. Freezeshadow found himself following the scent up to a flame colored she-cat with scratches on her side and face ((Dragonfire)) [Freezeshadow seemed interested that this she-cat was just lying around on Seaclan's territory and was defenseless. He almost smiled but kept his emotions to himself.] "Tell me...what are you doing here, in my territory." Freezeshadow meowed as he began to unsheathe his black claws. &#######################################& Water freezes at low temperatures... Hearts freeze of lonely shadows...

Nightflame laughed. His laughter sounding evil and echoing.
"I am neither friend nor foe. Who are you?" He called from
the mist. He moved silently around the cat, still hiding,
undetectable. He made sure that the cat could not figure out
where he was. The mist, the forest, and the echo were on his
side.

Dragonfire hissed. Pride in her voice!] "I am a gladiator, a warrior, a fighter! I fear nothing and have had to fight for the freedom that you have had all your life! I am Dragonfire! Tell me, if you are neither friend or foe that what exactly are you?" [Her claws dug into the earth, craving for blood. Her attention snapped from the unknown presence hidden in the mist to the tom (Freezeshadow) that approached her. She let out a roaring battle cry! her fur stood on end as she glared at the tom.] "I was... i..." [Her face grew from warlike to hurt. She had fled here, she had fled for the first time in her life.] " i escaped here. i came here because the war gods (2 legs) would not follow me here for some reason. I had no idea this belonged to anyone! so get of my case!"

Seeing Freezeshadow, Nightflame stepped out of the mist, so
he was between the two. His long claws still unsheathed.
"I am that is..." He said to the cat.
"So, you ran. It's ok. Now you are safe. We shall heal your wounds, then you will return." He said calmly.

"No!" [She cried defiantly.] "I did not run! I...i..i ITS NOT OK!" [She started to shake with defiance, she knew it was true but couldn't accept it! She was a gladiator, she would never run!! He wounds started to pulse and ache unbearably and she let out a low pained hiss. and started to fall to her hunches. it hurt worse than it had ever before! She continued to struggle to stand, she would not show her weakness in front of others, even if she was dieing.] "I cant go back. the war gods will think im a..." [her eyes grew empty.] a coward...

He let out a low growl, but sheathed his claws and meowed coldly.] "So, you ran away from these "war gods" and they didn't follow you...but, if you ran wouldn't that mean your a coward. Seeing your such a warrior." [Freezeshadow looked at her closely now. He sniffed her wounds and then meowed to Nightflame.] "Shall we bring her...or just see how tough she is." [Freezeshadow smiled inside evily. He wanted to know what strengh Dragonfire had.] &#######################################& Water freezes at low temperatures... Hearts freeze of lonely shadows...

[Dragonfire's eyes shot open at the dreaded word coward.] "WHAT! What did you call me! say that again to my face you sissy cat! I have killed more cats than you have seen in your life every god awful day! they were all twice your size too pipsqueak! I would like to see you live through just a minute of my life!" [She hissed as she dragged her self to her feet and stood strong. inches away from the tom's face! [She let out a frustrated sigh. and whipped her tail back and forth.] "lets see you fight a wolf pack and live!!!" [she gasped. and looked away, she had said too much.]

[Dragonfire's harsh expression changed to suprized as she turned from Freezeshadow to Nightflame, who's deep blue eyes looked at her with understanding. She looked away. She didnt want to admit it but she was very afraid. She was afraid when she was dieing in the jaws of the wolf, she was afraid when she fled and was being chased by the war gods who had forced her to fight all her life, she was afraid when she wandered into the unknown lands of Seaclan. No mater how hard she tried to hide it it was still fear. She growled. She did not like this feeling. She looked down at her bloody claws and growled quietly to herself as the pain forced her to sit. She tried to deniy her fear.] "im... im not afraid! im just... "

"Do not worry my friend. She is not a threat. Although she
may become one..." Amusement flashed in his eyes for a
moment. "Still, she is wounded. We should heal her wounds at
least." He said as he flicked his tail to Freezeshadow. Get
Cloudfang. It will cause commotion if we bring her to the
camp." he said to Freezeshadow. He knew Cloudfang would
help. He sat down, his tail wrapped around him. Gently, he
scrapped the dust off the ground in front of her with his paw,
revealing a budding flower.

You are afraid but you won't admit it." [Freezeshadow looked to Nightflame and nodded.] "You better be alive by the time I come back." [Freezeshadow ran back to the camp and went straight inside the medicine den and meowed to Cloudfang emotionlessly.] "Cloundfang, Nightflame told me to get you. We need your help...come with me." &#######################################& Water freezes at low temperatures... Hearts freeze of lonely shadows...

 When she heard Nightflame's name, Cloudfang imediately got up. " Lead the way. No one follows. Stay with Redfur." She ordered the cats around her as she padded after Freezeshadow. I wonder what's wrong...
