Kero nods, and points to Nimbus as he coos to him.
"Nimbus can't. Not yet. He's not old enough to be able to control it, so he has to wear diapers. Now, do you still want to learn how to change him?"

Kero nods, and teaches her how to wipe him down and wash her paws afterwards, then powder his behind and get a new diaper on him.
"There we go. See? Not so bad, right?"

"Buff why he so widdle... he noff wike..." suddenly Luna's face screws up in confusion. She remembers things, but at the same time she doesn't. Her past is a rather large blur to her. Which is understandable given the circumstances of her appearance. And the amorphous "they" are confusing her. She thinks she remembers a nest but at the same time she doesn't.

Smiling, Kero gently stops her.
"Kiddo, he's little because he's a baby. He's gonna be little for quite a bit. But soon he will be a big boy, and the two of you can run, jump, and play together. But for now, he's too little to do that, and you need to play with your toys or with Daddy or Mama. Speaking of your toys, didn't we just talk about keeping them picked up?"
With that, he points to where Luna had just dumped all her toys on the floor and begun playing with a dolly.

Luna stares at the toys in confusion. She hasn't touched them except to drag the box in. "Daddy, why my toys on da gwound?"

"I dunno, Luna? Maybe...Ah. I get it."
Kero rounds on Tes, who is furiously pretending to not be holding one dolly in her hands.
"Luna, I think Mama wants to play with you and your dollies...why don't you two go and get them out, and have some fun."
**Kero planned that to happen...while he was cooing to Nimbus, he was talking to Tes in a language they both speak**

Still a touch confused, but willing to do anything that did not involve changing the baby again, Luna walks over to Tes and seeing that she has the oldest raggity doll in her hands, frowns, handing her her best one, one of those Ame had secretly sent to her room following the tantrums.
"Hewr, Mama, dis one is pwetttiew. Let me pway wiff dat one."
She has her reasons of course, the uglier doll is actually more prescious to her in her eyes as it is the first one Kero has ever given her. Therefore she's being kind and devious all in one fell swoop and Kero catches on rather quickly.

Smiling, Kero gently rocks Nimbus in his arms, humming a lullaby he had once heard from a great gold dragon. One he had once called Mama, long long ago. As Tes hands Luna the ragged doll and graciously accepts the nice one, Kero smiles and relaxes, content in his family at long last. For the first time since Emnast had pushed him out of the nest all those years ago, he was Home.

Luna and Tes play with the dolls for a bit, then Luna sighs sadly. "Wanna go fiwshin..." She looks back hopefully at Kero, sees him rocking the baby and her hesitant smile fades just a touch. Daddy looks so happy now, so she knows it isn't going to happen. And she really doesn't mind, but she had been too excited at breakfast with all the talk of going away to eat much and now her tummy is growling.
Tes sees her smile fade a bit and asks what's wrong. "Luna, lovey... what's wrong?'
"I hungwy..." moans the tiny dragon.
"You are always hungry." teases Kero with a smile.
"Buff I yam..." she retorts seriously.

Laughing, Kero hands the baby to Tes, and picks Luna up.
"Then why don't we go fishing. I'm a touch hungry myself." He tells her, only to be interrupted by Tes.
"You claim she's always hungry, but you are the one who's ever-hungry, last I checked, Sweetie."

Luna giggles and announces wisely. "Well... he is my Daddy, of coures he hungwy. We aways hungwy.... wight, Daddy?"

Kero nods, swooping down and snatching Luna up into his arms, giving her a big hug before releasing her again.
"That's exactly right, Luna dear. So what say you and I go catch some fish to assuage that hunger?"
Leading the way out, Kero takes his happily chirping daughter down to the edge of the water, where he blurs into the shape of the copper-gold dragon that Luna is so familiar with.
"Now, Luna. Remember, kill before you eat it, okay? And try to save some of the fish you catch for later, so I can cook them for Mama."

Luna gives him a serious nod, because Luciel had taught her that fishing was serious business, then takes off to the air, fllying about the swampy lake side, peering in the reeds and weeds, about sunken logs and such, looking for just the right fish. Soon she finds a likely target and tucking her wings in tight to her body dives straight down into the water. This is the first tme Kero has seen her fish in this manner, normally she does so from the surface, swimming. And he wonders if she's learned the trick from watching the water birds that come to the lake each day to feed.
Up she comes with a rather large bass, which she takes high into the sky and drops, sending it careening onto the sunning rock. The fall alone should have killed it, but when Luna lands next to it, she snaps off his head, or tries to. Her mouth really isn't up to the task and her tooth quite painful. So her bite was no where near as powerful as it usually was. He cringes slightly thanking the powers that be that the fish was either dead or so close to it as not to matter, because the next thing Luna does is tear into it with such ferver, had it not been so, it would have been rather painful.
