LilChibiusa I should be hearing about JET interviews in a month or less. I'm starting to get nervous. Oh Chibi, you worry too much! It's out of your hands now, so as hard as it is...try to relax! emotion_hug

I'm just worried that there will be more applicants this year now that the radiation and earthquake fears have receded a bit, and I won't be able to get an interview this time. I'm doing my best to try not to dwell on it too much, but I have a feeling it's going to get harder and harder to keep it out of my head as the announcement date approaches.

I'm keeping myself busy reading books and studying Japanese. I figure that if I do manage to get another interview, I want to be ready to rock it! But, I think the most important thing for me will be to relax and be confident in myself during the interview. I think when it comes down to it, my fear and lack of confidence is what did me in.

Wow... It's been 8 years that I've been on Gaia... eek That Go-Gaia link reminded me just how much has changed. That page really doesn't look that different from the landing page in early 2005.

I know what you mean. I joined in '09, and so the normal Gaia Online header and logo (the way it usually shows up, not the retro one they have now) are the only ones I've ever known. All the nostalgia...I can't identify with it! blaugh Maybe in a few years. mrgreen

Wow. It's been forever since I was here last. Chibi, my dear sis, I know better than to tell you not to stress about JET. I know you WAY too well. Just Keep reminding yourself that you have a great shot at getting in this year. and when it's time for your interviews, DON'T PANIC!!!! (Seriously, that's another reason you are just like Twilight Sparkle. The scene where she's freaking over a possible test is just like you.)

Amigurumi Queen Congrats on being selected as an alternate! Thank you! Now, I'm just waiting to see if I'll be upgraded. I'm very active with my sister city commission, and we have a sister city in Japan. I'm going to see if they might be interested in requesting me to further the sister city relationship. Then again, they have a new mayor, so it would be hard to say whether or not they would go for it or not. The waiting is killing me! rofl
