Internet Relay Chat. It's like a chatroom.
I know there are several IRC clients out there, I use Chatzilla, which is a Firefox add-on. I'm looking to see if there's something for google chrome users to use...

sweet. i really hope there is. I can't use firefox anymore on this computer cause for some reason, its wicked slow. And gotten so used to chrome.

There are other IRC clients, like mIRC or even Pidgin, that aren't browser-dependant.
