Tam starts to warn Sharmistra to beware of the tail, but she is already prepared for the fact, Grabbing a nearby blanket she tosses it over the cub's hind quarters, but not before it makes contact with Tam's hands..
"Dang..." Swears Tam staring at the stinger and then his hand, then he slowly crumbles in place, startling both Sharmistra and Kero both.
"Well that was quick..." laughs the young priest with surprise, moving the cub to the floor and straightening out Tam so he doesn't wake up stiff and sore. She refolds the blanket to make a temporary pallet for Kero and sighs. "How long is he going to be like that? Anything I have to worry about. Should I get someone to sit with the two of you? I need to return, I have rounds to make shortly."
She looks back at the bard who is far too large for the bed and giggles. Wish I had a way to save that image, he looks so adorable like that with his feet sticking out over the end of the bed. No wonder he had one made to order. She sees Kero's curiosity ad smiles. News goes around a small town rather fast, cub. Remember that. Don't do anything you don't want anyone to know about or the news of it will beat you home er you have done it."

Sharmistra sighs with relief. "Ah, that is good, then I'll leave you to watch over him then. I think you are strong enough for that." She starts to close up her kit and exclaims' "Morning Lord forgive me, Kerobian, I brought you a treat. I usually give the younglinbgs of the village a sweet if they are good when I tend to them, but I read in Hopian's book that you like gemstones." She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a rough cut topaz. "I hope this is one you like. He noted you didn't like moonstones and a few others, but didn't say why. But he did say you nibbled on these like candy. It isn't the best of stones, it has a major flaw, a crack that prevented Brother Andrew from setting it into a piece for the altar, so he gave it to me knowing I love pretty things.

*Kero's tail gently takes it from her*
Thanks, ma'am....I don't like moontstones....they're bitter....taste...almost like soap smells...but Topaz taste like honey...delicious...

"Sharmistra bows and thanks him for being such a cooperative patient. Then she looks at Tam and sighs, well an almost cooperative patient. "You just rest until he wakes now, and if he should experience a headache or anything as a result, send him to me. I have a tonic that should help him shake the effects in no time. Tomorrow I want you to start moving about. Not far mind you. The cottage and the garden is fine... and if you grow tired you rest. Promise me this?" she urges with a serious frown. "That if you feel in the least bit nauseous or weak, you'll return to your bed instantly. Understand?"

*Kero nods, sucking on the topaz...not daring to speak around it, knowing it is extremely rude*

She rubs his ears and takes her leave, letting herself out the cottage's front door.
Outside, birds are singing and inside the room, Tam is sawing logs.

True to form, Talesian awakens in just about an hour's time, confused and groggy, unsure as to where he is or how he got there. Sitting up with a groan he rubs his eyes and looks about with a start as he remembers at least a little of what had happened. "Kero..." he whispers worriedly, hoping the cat had gone running off in a fit of guilt. Then he sees him sleeping close by and sighs with relief. He goes to get up but moves too fast and sits down with a huff. His head still feels like it is stuffed with cotton. Moving slower and with more purpose, he stands and thinks twice about moving the sleeping cub. Kerobiain seems comfortable enough but he is still very unsteady on his feet. STumbling slightly he goes out into the kitchen area and brews himself a strong cup of tea, to chase the groggies away.

*The tea seems to help...and by the time he is done with it, Kero has awakened, looking at Tam as he stumbles weakly out of his room*
Note: I'll be back in a few minutes...have to go to wal-mart for my dad...

"Are you sure you should be up?" asks Tam lowering his feet from Kerobian's favorite stool. "Man, that tail of your packs a wallop!"

Tam smiles and holds out his arms, waiting for the cub to come to him. He puts him on his lap and sighs. "My head is still fuzzy but getting better. What do you want for dinner. Think you can handle solid food yet?"

Tam stands up and heads for the door with the cub in his arms. "We'll go to the inn then. With my head like this I don't feel like cooking. Everyone has been asking about you, so now they'll see yer getting better."
