Kero nods, gently taking a small piece and sealing the rest away, then popping down and begging a small meal for Tes off of the old horse. Once he returns, setting the food in front of his wife, he sits and nods.
"That could very well be. I know from personal experience that growing can be painful for a dragonling. So how has Nimbus been, since I have been preoccupied. I am sorry, by thw way, for leaving you alone with him again.

I wonder how big she will grow to be. Is her genetic makeup true draconic or something of a hybrid. How old is she anyway? She has such a good vocabulary but her word usage is poor. She's a smart as a whip, very wise for her age, but she doesn't seem to have a good rein on her emotions which would come with age..." sighs Tes softly cuddling her son close. "Trouble is, black dragon are notoriously tempermental."
Peeking down at Nimbus' face she smiles fondly. "Our son has been an angel today. which means he'll probably be up all night."

Going into theatrical mode, Kero pretends to swoon into a faint, and then snaps to attention on Luna.
"I don't know, honestly. Could simply be her connection to Lunaria that does these things."

Tes sighs. "I haven't known her long enough to make a good judgement. I do know a good deal about draconic forms though, enough to make me wonder. What I don't understand is why the dark form... why a black? Why not one of the more gentler of dragon forms. Lunaria may be the cutter of threads, but she is also the bright eyed daughter and gentle mother."

"Have you tried talking about this with Lyssan and Amestru? Maybe it has something to do with the Lady Lyssan and not so much her connection. Though we both have to agree, the connection with Lunaria is valid and very very real." She peers down at Nimbus and sighing runs a gentle hand over his small head.

Kero, seemingly lost in thought, also runs a hand over Nimbus's head before gently taking his son from Tes, rocking him in his arms. Tes starts for a second.
"Dear...are you sure you should, as distracted as you are, mightn't it be better for me to..."
Kero, his eyes lost in thought, interrupts her, his voice still as soft and kind as always.
"I'm paying attention, don't worry, Tessie. I'm just trying to think how to approach this problem and broach the question to Lyssan and Amestru. Perhaps I should just ask them straight out, or should I kind of hedge it in a bit?"

Tes sighs dramatically. "Ack, ever the tactful void master. Kero, in something this important, straightforward is always the best. I know you are always looking for round about ways to get out of things, but in this the tried and true is best. Tell them of our worries and work it out."

Kero nods, and both of them are interrupted suddenly when Nimbus wakes up and begins crying for no apparent reason. Not wet or dirty. He's not tired anymore, because even with Kero's hypnotic voice, he's not falling asleep again. He doesn't seem to be hungry, or colicky. So now they are stuck with this problem: What exactly is the matter with the child, and what can they do about it? Kero suddenly has an idea.
"Tes, do you think you can hold down the fort while I go and get Enia? I bet she's not only seen this before, but knows exactly how to calm him down."

"Please do." says Tes worriedly as she paces in a circle, bouncing the baby gently in her arms. "Nothing I do seems to work. He's fed, clean, dry and doesn't seem to have a bellyache. When he cries about that it's a bit more urgent, but surely he's uncomfortable about something."
Luna cracks an eye and sighs. "He singin... he wikes to sing..." Then she squeezes her eyes shut and tries to go back to sleep. "Buff he awfuwwy woud."

Kero smiles, going over to Luna and gently nuzzling her, before stepping outside and teleporting downstairs to where Enia is, finding her sitting on a chair with a good book.
"Enia, I hate to bother you right now, when you are obviously on break, but Tes and I are having trouble with Nimbus. He is crying his little heart out, and yet he is fed, clean, dry, and doesn't have a bellyache. He's not ill, or I would sense it. Luna says that he is singing, but unless that's some code message from another being, I cannot make heads nor tails of it. Do you, perhaps, know why he is crying?"

Enia places a ribbon in the book to mark her place with a chuckle. "Ah, so he's found his voice has he? A might bit early for that, still... she may be right you know. How about I take him for a bit and give the two of you a rest. Perhaps I can determine if he is indeed simply exploring his vocal range or complaining about something you just haven't uncovered as yet. Babies, even ones as young as he, need interaction and sometimes a good deal of distraction to get their mind off whatever it is that is bothering or has attracted their interest. Shall we go see the mite or do you wish to bring him down here?"

"Hmmm...we should probably go to him, not the other way around. Take my hand, and I warn you, this may come as a bit of a shock if you've never teleported before."
Kero gently holds Enia's hand before clawing his way into the Void, slipping out of time and space as he hops between Enia's nursery and his tower loft, carrying enia along with him. It is bitingly cold, and their is a sensation of pressure around them, yet at the same time a sensation of a vast emptiness behind that pressure. And then they are through, Appearing in Kero's little room, where Tes is still trying to calm down Nimbus and Luna has jammed a pillow over her head.
"Tessie, Sweetheart, Enia here has offered to take Nimbus for a little while, to give us both a break. Would you like that, hm?"

Tes relunctantly surrenders the babe to the nurse.
"Is... is he alright. He simply won't stop crying. I tried all those things you told me o do before and nothing helps."
Enia gently bounces the babe in her arms and looks about the brighty lit room with a slight frown. Seeing Luna huddling under the pillow she sighs. "These younglings need a quiet softly lit place, perhaps one with no light at all, though a smallish amount might be better to allow you to check on them."
She looks at Kero and smiles gently. "Perhaps if you allow this, they won't have your difficulties as they get older."
